will the smaller of the FMICs be efficient for 1000rwhp? Reason i ask is because i will road course the car a couple to few times a year and dont want to completely block the radiator. Or will blocking the radiator even be an issue. Mainly a street car and am concerned with the overall efficiency of the air entering the intake.
The road course will be track days, nothing competitive. Just want to have some "legal" fun

We have a couple intercooler options in the works. For a road race car that is going to be beat on continuously, keeping the engine cool needs to take some priority over making a billion HP. So a smaller intercooler that cools the charge air pretty good but also allows good airflow to the radiator is needed. We will have that shortly and it will support 1000+whp.
If you don't already have a meth injection kit, that would be a big step in the right direction too. |

Efficiency should be a top priority. Systems designed around factory components and easy fitment rarely exhibit top efficiency. Quality materials, and design built for you and your goals. You should not be looking at factory set-ups as your benchmark. You should be looking at Motorsports as your benchmark. High quality intercooler and radiator cores should be the base for a custom build. Custom manifolds, optimum turbo placement, quality heat shielding and coatings, etc. V-band everything on the turbos, stainless housings, intelligent wastegate placement, versatile boost management with the features you need and want.

They just did a GTO with twin PTE6266s and he just ran a sub 6 second 1/8th. They have also done a couple monster CTS-V and they are building "Sprayed-V"s CTS-v withh LSX 434. They are gonna get 1300 or so out of it with the PTE6766s. The intercooler issue has been keeping me up at night lately. dont want to block my radiator since i plan to road course the car. Im liking the Procharger 1300hp race unit that is 27"x12" x 4.5" deep. Like it because it is the same height as my dinky standard IC im running now with my D1SC. I am also curious about the new offering that AGP has coming out concerning FMIC. Just dont have any details yet on specs or when it will be available.

You can sell them and get a $1000 towards the kit.
