This thread needs a bump.
Anyone know the estimated loss of pressure between the compressor and the intake manifold given the design of the IC, tubing size, number of bends and size of bends etc? I assume it should be no more than 2 psi.

We've been working on a dual cold air intake kit that has no down sides. I just finished testing the current design and will be offering them as an upgrade in a couple weeks. It is very impressive, will post pics in a few days.

The filters in the base kit are 2 feet off the ground. I would be more worried about the water pouring into the car from the door seals/flood boards if you are in that much water.

So if the water level is that high (2 feet), yes, that is your own risk...and you should probably pack some oars for your boat. ![]() |

Puddle, standing water, etc wouldn't be an issue unless the tires are 3/4 submerged and water is pouring into your doors, and everything else is under water. That is like not wanting to run headers or cats because they would be completely submerged. The power steering rack would be underwater, the crank pulley 1/2 under, etc. It would take someone driving their car into a lake or trying to cross a river to cause an issue.

For these high hp build you really don't want anything that's been made. You want something made especially for your car. That's exactly what SNL is doing to my V with the win 6766s. Let them custom fab and you'll be good to go man. Not like it's rocket science and it's something that has to be "proven."

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=317160 Very nice pics of the setup including the air filter locations. Not as bad as I thought. But would love to see the optional intake kit when AGP releases it. |
