The Beavercreek cruise-in moved from K-Mart to Lafino's (grocery store) owned parking lots at the corner of 35 & North Fairfield Rd circled in RED on the pic. One of the lots is an old Ford dealership. I believe SilverIceman's wife's family used to own the Ford lot. I marked restaurants with red stars.

Thanks heinz. I had a blast last year when we went to the K-mart cruise-in followed by dinner at the Greenes.

SilverIceman is full of surprises. I bet if anyone knows where Jimmy Hoffia is, it would be him and the Haus would be my 2nd guess.

The new place isn't too far from the Greene, so that is always an option afterwards. Also some bigger chain restaurants just a mile or two north on Fairfield Road. We (Heinz, my wife and me) ate at a pizza place in the Lofinos shopping area.

The Lofinos own both lots now. Not sure what they are going to do to the old dealership. It would be nice if they opened up a couple more of the entrances on the north side of the lot.

Not sure if I'll be in town next Friday or not, depends if I book some reservations for us to go to North Carolina (mountains). Since she'll just
be getting back from a week in Florida, she'll probably want to stay home. I'd say good chance I'll be around.

As far as Jimmy, he's still alive and living in a mansion in Pakistan.

Anybody going to Kmart tomorrow?

Otherwise, I hope to see Drew, Jr, and some others down at Cincy Speed on Saturday. Might have lots of questions for the Roto-Fab and SW reps. Hope someone finds an abandoned cooler in the alley again this year.

If you guys havn't seen it the Jun 11 Hot Rod Magazine has a list of what stock parts of the Camaro SS LS3/L99 will break in what condition. It Starts on Page 94.

LifterPump 7000+ RPM
Timing Chain Tensioner 550hp
Oil pump bypasses oil, poor drain back and foaming is a problem of 6000 rpm.
Rods Break 600hp
Piston fail 600-625hp
Crank is good to go 900+
Exhaust valves over 10psi boost
etc. etc.

It continues for a couple pages.
It lists why and what to do to remedy the problem.

I will scan the article and share when i get back from San Antonio.

Ouch! Maybe with the budget in the shape it's in, they're being pressued to do more "fundraising." Pretty pathetic! I have the MRTv2 also, and it just got a little louder with a CAI. Guess I'd better skip the header mod!

Bummer, but totally understandable! Our dad's '69 was my brother's life for months, it seemed.

Who else is game?
I should be! My daughter might just have to walk home from her music lesson. No wait - she'll be mad if she doesn't get to hang out with you guys! Hmmm....

Cruise-in's at Lofino's, right? I'm in - finally, a Friday without rain! Where in the parking lot do you guys hang out?

Last time our group met in the parking lot for the old Eastgate dealership. But we had to drive into the large lot in front of the cinemas to get to it. They still had all the access from Seajay closed off. They connected the two lots right about where the two red outlines touch on Heinzd's aerial. Careful, the connection was just gravel, dirt and very rough. If I don't see any camaros in that lot, I'll park out in front of the cinemas.

I printed out menus for Bob Evans, House of Thai, Beef 'O' Brady's, Rocky's Pizza Ring and Marions Pizza. I'd be up for ordering take out and eating around the cars.

UMMM, Marions!! Someone going to pick that up on the way?? I'll pitch in. What time you heading over? (I'm assuming you're talking about tonight?)

Rocky's wasn't bad, but not as good as Marions. I don't think Thai would be very easy to eat in those folding chairs.

There's a Marions along the way for me. If you want, I'll pick one up. Only three have said they're going so far.

Might be better to wait, see who's there and order something once we know.

There is Marion's about a mile north. If you go north on North Fairfeild instead of south when you get off the highway, it is about a mile up the road on the right. Also a Submarine House, good Chinese place, and Hot Head Burrito. Of course you guys do this while I have to work, time to start begging and pleading for a field trip.

Yes, it is Happy Pappy. Hope your surgery goes well and you are back on the road soon. We are planning on getting together at Lofinos Friday night. Joe (Racer778) and I will be there. I believe you met Joe at your Mod Day. I am also planning on getting some pizza just up the road from there at Marions. There are some things you just have to have when you are back "home".

Hope to see some new faces out there!!!
