So How much is the Hurst shifter going to be, and what will it look like? I dont want to pay twice what something would be in the aftermarket.

Somebody in the aftermarket options thread said $380 MSRP, $315 invoice. Not sure where he got his info though.

if you want performance just get the 1SS no RS needed imo it be weird to me having HIDs and cloth seats... also the 4 gauge cluster, steering wheel controls, blue tooth... these things are novelties to me. you get all the power and performance of the 2ss, no cutting corners, in the 1ss. it makes more sense to me to get that over the 2LT though its 4K more... you won't have to mod anything to have power and you will always have the torque of the added displacement

Why do I doubt that a shifter actually should cost almost 400 bucks. Is this thing going to be worth it? what about a B and M or other shifter a month or two after release. I am thinking of canceling the shifter if it really costs 380, and has that ugly white ball in my nice black interior!!!

Just wanted to clarify so it didn't seem like my comment was a 'whine'.
Do I think the prices are outrageous? No I believe they are on par with what the car has. That doesn't change the fact that it still isn't 'comparable' to a Mustang (as far as price is concerned) as we were led to believe. Can I afford the SS2/RS? Yes. But add in other items I want (Auto, Sunroof, GFX, Accessory Grille) and it goes just a bit higher than I wish to pay AT THIS TIME. Given an extra few months to work OT that won't be such a problem. But a $40,000 car before taxes will still be a crazy monthly payment even with the $15,000 I have to put down currently. I think I'm going to need at least $20,000 down to get where I want to be. It's quite disappointing that I'll have to wait another 6+ months longer than anticipated though... |

Yeah maybe worth a small bit more, but why the BIG UGLY WHITE shifter ball...Is there any other choice? would the factory black know fit on the hurst? Will the boot still cover the entire shifter shaft? I wish GM would shed a little light on our accessories!

i was told there would be options for the shifter, most of what your paying for is the short throw mechinism. shifter balls are cheap.

Got a question to anyone who might know.
I ordered my 2LT RS W/auto this morning. Now my question. Looks like the only choice with the RS is 20" summer tires with larger in the rear. Not good for No Indiana to have summuer tires and thinking not good you can't even rotate the tires???? I really want the RS package but not the tire package. Thanks |
