Honestly, I haven't been there in years. The only place I remember was called the Prime Rib about a block up from McDonalds. Trust me though, its not Texas quality steak. A skift of snow is kind of like a dusting. You wake up in the morning and the ground is white, but it usually melts by noon. There's not a whole lot to do there. It's about 100 miles to the nearest "big" town. Let me know if you need anything while you're there, I still talk to a couple of buddies there.

I'm hoping for no snow... Brandi, my car, doesn't like cold icy roads... and what is a skift...??? I need to find out from you where to eat and what to do there for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evening...Wife is flying in Thursday eve, last day of class... I'm more or less making a ten day vacation out of it. Debbie is flying in the last day of class and we are going to take a round-about way from there back to Texas. Gillette to cody, to Rock springs, then down to Montrose Colorado, then to Alba-Crackie New Mexico, on to Carlsbad, and then back into Texas...I'm trying to meet up with some Camaro owners all along the way. got one from Buffalo, one from Cody, hopefully some in Montrose, and one in New Mexico that I know of...

Sam, Debbie and I are keeping the two of you in our prayers. Good Luck and God Bless You Both...

Added skift to my dictionary... and if they have a MkyDees, I'll not starve...I'm supposed to hook up with a guy from Buffalo, so I figure i'll drive pert near 80 miles there anyways before my wife makes it up...

Thank you all for your kind support. Like others in this world Christina and I will need all the support from family and friends we can handle over the next several months. She is having her surgery this Tuesday at around 1pm. Should last about 3 to 4 hours, plan is to repair the mitral valve, if things are to bad then replacement will be done. Recovery time is a little different depending on repair or replacement. Either event Christina will be staying with her parents during most of the recovery time. They do live her in San Antonio, both are retired and able to care for her while I look for a job. Plans are plans and seem to always change, school is off for now and I will be looking for full time employment. I do have an updated resume, sorry no schooling other than high school, so if everyone would keep an eye and ear out for those looking I would appreciate it.

Sam

Looks like the prayers are working! Still an uphill battle...but a win-able one. We'll keep her in our prayers, Sam. Please be sure to tell Christina we are all here for her. And call if you need anything!

Hang in there, friend...it will get better.

Cheers,

Pete

When's the next "get together"? Like to meet up with some of y'all! Newbie here and y'all seem like a really great bunch! Besides my best girlfriend just isn't into cars..so the conversations always seem quite "one sided" since all I seem to want to talk about is my Maro "Pumpkin" and all the mods I want to do to her..

until we meet!
