Is this a ATS test mule?
Or maybe that ZL1 test mule that Tran posted pics of today?
Is that number 3 behind those sunglasses?
Bingo.

"real" paddle shifters would be mounted on the steering column like some Euro-cars....where they stay in the same spot when you turn the wheel...at least imo

Those look like a much-improved version of the current design GM uses.

.

Looks to me like the steering wheel is rotated 180° from neutral, and the flat bottom is visible. Zoom in & scope out the reflection in the shades.

Not for anything....but I found myself half-watching the American TopGear tonight...and that twerp Tanner was drooling on about the GT2 RS from Porche...

Paraphrased plot summary:

"It's managed to find the perfect spot between liveable grocery-getter, and performance driving utensil. Porche called this car 'the beast'. And they don't tend to overstate things. Over 80,000 development hours and 500,000 test miles...

But something was wrong. With 600+ hp, I was expecting it to scare me - and I wasn't. So I called Porche...and they had an answer. "

....

...

It was hot out. And that killed almost 100 hp.

I about threw the nearest object at the TV....REALLY?!? Porche finds "perfect", but they can't stop the temperature from neutering the car? And he was all proud about his discovery!

Yeah, but the writers are paid to be cutesy and entertaining. It would be good if they spoke in depth about the reasons behind their observations. I suppose they think their ratings would fall off if they were more substance and less cutesy. You would think they could do that without it turning into a documentary. The part about it being perfect was likely just a bit of snobbery because they're predisposed toward European makes.

As Hal would say, "Take a stress pill and don't get your Dragon panties too bunched up over it."

I have no idea why Hal would make reference to Dragon panties. Maybe a new colloquialism subroutine. :emoticon7:

.............................................

In other news, I was at the dealership yesterday and found out the original guy who gave me a test drive doesn't work there any more. The good part is I found out the salesman I was talking to is a fellow C5er, so I'll be buying my ZL1 from him. =]

Keeping it in the family.

Not to mention that TF looks great behind the wheel and demonstrates excellent car control, but is not particularly fast...

How sad is that? To me, anyways...TopGear America would have been a great opportunity to bias towards American makes and please that audience....they don't have to blast everyone else....but good lord...

Why would Hal say that? haha

Finally got to be able to do some driving today.... I went a little overboard and spent about 4 1/2 hours in the Cascade mountain range!

It was an incredible drive! You really forget how much you actually like something until you cant do it for two months.

Im bacccccccccckkkkkkk!
