This is by far the most difficult decision I have in regards to the ZL1. I teeter totter between the two colors constantly. I need to see more pics or a video of the IBM and I need to see what this replacement gray looks like.

I stopped by the dealer tonight and that carbon flash looked really nice too! Kind of hoping that they will offer it as a regular color on the ZL1!

I believe they said the carbon flash is only available on the anniversary edition, but they haven't said there won't be an anniversary edition ZL1, so there is some wiggle room.

Thanks, man I'm recovering from a lot of Jim Beam and probably too much Jamison

Though, A6 vs M6 takes top honors as the most difficult decision for me...

That's what I thought. I hope they change that for '13 though. I'm hoping they keep it specifically for the 45th for now because I really like that color, too.

Doesn't exactly fit my definition of "richer" than CGM. I rather have the charcoal gray offered on the Cadillacs.

I think it's safe to say the Carbon Flash won't be available on any ZL1 (at least not the first model year) based on the Barret auction coming up. It states it will be the only ZL1 in that color.

Sigh... Sad Noodle...

" Carbon Flash Metallic 2012 Camaro ZL1 Up for Auction This Sat. at Barrett-Jackson
From fbodfather (note which went out to Chevy dealers this AM):

This Saturday (September 24, 2011) at the Barrett-Jackson Classic Car Auction in Las Vegas, NV, a very unique 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 will be offered for auction. This particular model will be the only 2012 Camaro ZL1 in Carbon Flash Metallic. It will also feature a VIN that honors the original ZL1’s – a VIN ending in 00069. Only 69 of those first ZL1’s were produced in the 1969 model year. All proceeds from the auction’s sale will benefit the YMCA of Southern Nevada."

Carbon Flash is such a great color. I remember the first time I saw it was on the D-pillar of an Equinox....I just could not stop staring at that sparkly black....

....And now...I can't get the image of that Imperial Blue ZL1 out of my head....

The clip 1 and 2 commercials shown on Speed Channel for the BJ auction are nice teasers that direct the viewer to go the GM web site for more on the ZL1. Ooooohhhhh boy are they gonna get more....heh-heh.....the teasers are a perfect setup, like leading one merrily down the trail to an ambush....LOL
