Ordered my Camaro, October 13th, 08.

Was called by the dealership/salesman, on April 16th 09, to check to see if I wanted to make any changes on my order.....

I was very happy with my selections and to go forward with my order

I checked with the dealership, a week or so ago, and the new car manager stated that my car information from GM has not been updated since April 21st 09. What the hell is taking so long??? You would think that I would have my car by now. I don't understand why it is taking so long, and how I can't get a "FIRM" answer on WHEN I am going to see "my car"!!

I have never ordered a car before, but you would think someone would know something!
Does anyone know how long it takes to "build" a car?

yep it sucks. the trains are pretty quick though. depending on if you are close to a rail yard.

Scheduled for shipping on May 11th. So maybe it is getting closer to Birmingham!!!

My dealer told me my car was loaded 5/16 onto a train. The plant told us it would be an 8-10 trip to Tampa. Well, as of last Friday (5/29) it was still on the train...so they say. And I still have not seen 5463 posted on the database. I know not all cars have made it on there but it seems like every week for the past 2 months there is some sort of delay. So once again, the car should be here this weekend. I'll have to keep my fingers crossed but I stopped holding my breath 2 months ago when I found out it was in QC.

I will be just like you. Expect it to be delivered anyday. UPS has a good tracking process. It seems that Chevrolet should have a system that would allow you to type in the order number and pinpoint exactly where the car is!!!!!!!!!!!!! novel concept

Horay for me! My car is in the railyard at Tampa. It just needs to be trucked over to the dealer so I'll be pickin git up this weekend (hopefully Friday)! Again, good luck to the rest of you.

I couldn' tagree more with better tracking info. Even if it's bad news I'd rather know where it is. They obviously track the car from th eplant every step of the way, I don't understand why it's so hard to let the client have access to track one car trhogh a webpage.

I wonder which train brings cars to Alabama? or do they stop in Memphis for truck transport? Does anyone know???????
