as Aaron said. my LTFT been all over the place with all aftermarket intakes. its crazy how you can put the same exact intake on the same car but some cars will adapt to new air flow well and some won't and will always need maf reworked.
blade..have you been using torque wrench to spec or just using hand feel? maybe just try to tighten more than usual? I been just using my hand feel and its been fine for me. Sent from my LG-P500 using Tapatalk |

And both you guys are going by feel? A good torque wrench is $50 bucks at Sears (often on sale for less). Is it really worth the risk? BTW, installed my spacer at least 2 months ago with Blue loctite. Re-torqued after intial drive and cool-down, and haven't touched'em since. By frequent re-checking with a "Dork" wrench (no offense- I got by that way for years), you're asking for a problem. It's steel bolts vs. aluminum. Sorry, end of speech...

Good point Blade.
Re-torquing back to factory spec after installation (say a week) certainly isn't a bad idea |

Can someone help me with this question? Does anyone know if the hex size for these bolts will be in any standard hex socket set?
This is a dumb question but, I just want to make sure I have all the tools before I open up the hood. Thanks!

vent...amen to that. I was using the torque wrench at one point and I actually have one in my tool box. I guess in my case, constantly taking the IM on and off kind of got me lazy and paid the price for it.
blade, I believe its standard metric hex. m8-1.25 Sent from my LG-P500 using Tapatalk |

Mine arrived today.
That pelican must have flapped his wings extremely hard. Now, I need to go get the swiveling, ratcheting 13mm wrench.

Just got my 25mm kit and I have a few questions.
1) Where can I print install instructions from? Looked all over Mace site but only found these: http://www.maceengineering.com.au/ep...old_Insulators Also my kit only has 5 long blots, I assume this is correct???? |

All you need to do is take the five bolts off, disconnect sensor to throttle body, remove intake manifold....now if using RTV apply a thin coat to the top of the insulator (that meets the manifold) re install in reverse....give it some time to cure
Correct on the bolts
