My comment wasn't meant to insult your intelligence, belittle you, or be mean in any way. I'm not a mean-spirited person, nor am I some elitist jerk. I apologize that I came across as such and didn't mean any offense.

It's in my nature to be a bit of a smart-ass (I think my avatar pic kind of eludes to the fact I enjoy employing a bit of sarcasm), but never an asshole. It's all meant in good fun though as I'm not a person who is callous or self-righteous.

Well, sometimes when I drive, I'm sure I've had people call me an asshole. But, it's Bumblebee's fault, I swear.

I really try to be courteous whenever possible. Karma and all that is a bitch if you aren't nice to her. I'm always willing to help and give advice wherever possible as I believe strongly in paying it forward.

I encourage you to not only post here, but to come out to some gatherings and meet us in person! I promise I'm a nice guy, I swear! (I have references even!).

I joke around with people who I consider to be friends, and I view people on this forum (especially in the northwest section), to be friends and kindred spirits. After all, Chevrolet gave the name of "Camaro" to these cars after finding the word in a French dictionary to mean "Friend or Companion".

And that means you too!

I beg you to reconsider. It seems you have taken offence at our reaction to a common spelling error. I was simply amused by what I took as a clever play on words. I meant no disrespect to you, and I apologize if it may have seemed that way. I can't speak for Scotty, but I've met him, and he seemed pretty affable, with no hint of ever being mean. So I really don't believe that was his intention.
If I remember correctly, I've met you at the Dick's gathering a month or so back. You seemed like a pretty nice guy too. This thread is a loose community of locals. So sooner or later, we all run into each other around here. Without that mask of anonymity that exists on the national/world-wide scale, we don't have the cadre of vicious (and cowardly) flamers that you will find on the broader threads. If anything, we sometimes engage in some good natured ribbing, but nothing intended to hurt anyone's pride.
So once again I ask you to reconsider. The more people that participate in this thread; the better it is.
