This I agree with....all the other nonsense you posted in this thread not so much but nobody can question this car is a rocket.

Damn people, all this because I asked about the weight of the car? I was simply crunching numbers, Julio`s car is almost exactly 200lbs lighter than mine which explains the 20 rwhp diff, 100lbs= .1 in the 1/4 or 10rwhp= .1 in the 1/4. Of course its not exact science but pretty damn close.

I don`t understand all the hate. Lots of people strip their cars at the track. you think all those shops w/ those incredible 5.0 mustang times are running full interior ect? Heck no! those things are shells, the mustang shops make gm shop rivalry look like a toddlers disagreement(GM shops) vs how Hitler and Stalin felt about each other(Mustang Shops)..

Personally I don`t strip my car, I have full interior ect.. But I do not have the added weight of a cage, I have lighter weight wheels and tires and of course my exhaust/air box are lighter than factory. But I do have the weight of the supercharger. I do take out my spare inflator kit and tire cover at the track but thats it. Sure I could be faster if I pulled a bunch of crap out, but I`m older now and just want to drive to the track, air down, run it and drive home w/ no changes but air pressure.

I did not always feel this way, I used to do like Julio, on my 96 TA that ran low 11`s on motor stock bottom end no power adder, I had deleted the back seats, would take the pass seat out at the track, anything that was not needed ws taken off including the a/c to have one of the fastest NA LT1 stock bottom end cars around at the time. It weighed 3240 w/ out me in it.

So in closing there is nothing wrong w/ stripping a car (maybe to harsh a word but removing things that "some" could not live with removed) to run good times, it just comes down to personal preference. Some don`t like it some do. If you want to be the fastest at something you have to do these things, and I completely agree w/ Julio doing that. If you want a car that looks feels and drives like stock around town then go the route I did on my current car, runs 10`s, stock idle, everythings there. (patting my own back..lol..).

So back on topic... Julio, Bad Azz Time!

Congrats Julio, you guys have always been one of the shops pushing LS engines to their max potential. I remember your old LS1 TransAM car, ran great. Does this cam require fly cutting?

Nice...and the stock bottom end will handle that just fine too, with the upgraded valvetrain the stout LS3/L99 can probably spin even higher than that all day long without complaining.
