I'd have to see one in person first... and maybe see the Stingray too.

Omitting the radio I can now understand as this is definitely a track ready car which is marketed for a very niche market. However for the price I assume they will be charging for the car, HID headlamps would be still be a welcome option. From a safety standpoint, I just feel that HID are superior to halogens and the weight penalties would be minimal. Just humble opinion.

It blows me away at how many Camaro fans on this site don't get what the Z/28 is.

Get your learn on!! As a Camaro fan you should be in the know..
Knowing what it is, is one thing I love the light weight with out all the extra crap. Most of these guys are complaining about the lack of back up camaras etc.you can have all of that shit. All I wanted was. Good looking car.i guess having a fast light good looking car is out of the question. They should have left the body the way it was if they weren't going to improve it.

I'll spend $60K+ on a ZL1 and get all of those fun luxuries plus the Magnetic Ride control.

From my personal experience with an LS7 in the corvette 427 we have, you can really mod a current SS to be a way much better track car than what the new Z28 has to offer. Then go a head and slap some Z28 badges on it and call it a day.

The mods I have on my Camaro now give me about the same acceleration as the Vette 427. Of course the Vette is a way smoother ride. But I'm sure I can drop $2k-$3k more in suspension upgrades and my SS could be just as badass as the Z28 with AC, fog lights/DRLs, heated leather seats and a kick ass stereo system.

Just my $.02
This guy ^

Stupid thread jack,

I read, "Who is selling their Camaro for a new Z/28?!"

Not, "What don't you like about the 2014 Camaro".

Some real stupid comments like, "Well the Z/28 Doesn't have the amenities I like"
DUH!!! It's for Racing, not playing Mozart!!!

Here is an answer,

unfortunately I will not be trading my car in. The Z/28 will cost more than the ZL1, so I may when my car is paid off buy a 1LE.

I would choose the ZL1 over the new Z/28. Why does the new Z/28 have less HP but so much more cubes? That alone would make the difference, but if it is pushing a price over $70K I would put that extra money into a ZL1 and get a car that has ALL kinds of bells and whistles plus would be a solid 10 second car in street trim.

Not going to trade in for a z/28. Would love to get one and have my car and the Z for a couple weeks together to transfer some goodies. But money won't allow that. but I guess I'll settle for getting some of the parts from it for my '10 SS namely the lightweight wheels and brakes for starters

not really a huge fan of the refresh look... but maybe in time itll grow on me.. now those seats id like to have for my 11' SS... those carbon breaks are sweet but id hate to imagine the cost for them or even repair.
