Everything we have seen so far is production starts January 10. 2011, but we have been lied to before.
The cars coming out of the factory at this point would be CTF cars. (Captured Test Fleet).
Captured refers to the fact that GM knows where the cars are and who is driving them (engineers, executives etc). The cars are part of a test fleet because the vehicle is not in production yet for the consumer. These CTF cars are vehicles that are built right at the end of the development cycle with the idea of using them used on a daily basis to determine what, if any issues need to be addressed before official production of the vehicle begins for the consumer.

Best regards,

Elie

Thanks for both of your explanations. There are several of us who are like "expectant parents" waiting on our "baby" to arrive. We keep getting people telling us that it'll be perfect with 2 front fingers and 2 rear toes, and it'll have secret superpowers (chassis mods or MRC) Then there are those who tell us it might be developementally delayed (retarded for you old schoolers) with a weird tale growing out it's back (onstar fin) and poorly designed butt hole (trunk key) :(. I guess the 3D ultrasould per se' will be at the LA autoshow and birth in January

PS Someone told me it was national cliche' day but this was more of an analogy, but I am nervous as a long tail cat in a room full of rock'n chairs!

I wouldn't expend any energy being concerned about those aspects of the car.

Best regards,

Elie

goddam..... i hope i'm not the only sane one on this forum; but that looks ugly as hell. I'll stick with my standard black on black 2ss rs hard top... the convertible just doesn't look good with the top up, in my opinion.

Anyone else notice the 1st picture from the neighborhood does not have a wire antenna, But the 2nd one has a shark fin and a tall standard antenna. I wonder why that is.

Don't know if this makes a difference but I'm in the US (2nd pic) and the other one is in Canada (1st pic.)

The radio antenna in the premium cars will be hidden in the rear spoiler. The non RS LT verts (no spoiler) will have a whip antenna on the rear quarter.

Interesting. Thanks for clarifying that. So then none of them will have the shark fin? that will be concealed in the spoiler?

They will all still have the shark fin. The shark fin is for OnStar/XM and the antenna I was talking about is for AM/FM radio/OnStar.

Your not the first, tho many haven't thought a bought the room a hard top vert would take up, the back seat is bad spacing (IMO) add in no trunk too, I'd thought a bout this a long time when the vert first came out on the concept because every one talked a bought it being a hard top vert, the seam(s) to the panels would be difficult, bulky and costly IMO.
Soft top will work for me, I've been seeing a 2000 Camaro soft top parked out side (daily), that guy takes great care of it and looks new.

Looks like a girls car. (not to offend my girls out there) Just not enough muscle for me. 2nd's on the hard top. I just don't like the looks of that rag top. Cheezy.
