I just joined the Adam's Forum yesterday. Been on the site all day. I will post the question about the bag. Thanks for the quick reply.

so confusing! I've had a company car for the past 8 years and just purchased the Camaro. I have not cleaned it yet. It's just sitting in my garage! YIKES!

It's only confusing because you are looking at the information as a whole. That's the way it looked to me when I first started and that's the way it will look to any novice. The difference is, I decided to make a few videos that explained all this stuff so that a novice wouldn't get lost in information ovrload. Now you can get the information you need in a easy to understand and fun format. All you have to do is pop some popcorn, sit back, watch and learn.

It doesn't get any easier than that.

yep, a lot of us are on a tight budget. From watching the Junkman vids and the vids on the Adams forum
http://www.adamsforums.com/forums/index.php

It appears that correctly washing your car is the most important step, so not to add anymore swirls. That said, start with 2 grit guards in home depot buckets. Two wash pads (I use Adams, one for belt line up one for bottom of car) and a good netural PH wash to not remove a bunch of wax. A couple of good micro fiber drying towels (not costco or wal mart etc) and electric leaf blower if you have one or can borrow one. Do the two bucket wash as in the vids. This will help stop damage.

You can then add clay, detail spray, all purpose cleaner, foam gun (Amazon) as your budget allows. One thing I would try to spring for is the VRT as it really makes the tires/car pop. Watch for sales and use the 'The Junkman' discount code. hope this helps some.

And thanks to the Junkman for the above list....

You can try, but they never combine two codes on one purchase!

I got the "Junkman Kit" and the "Perfect Interior Kit" right now. Iv'e used all kinds of car care products. I used to do automotive reconditioning at a Nissan dealership before I joined the Marine Corps. If I remember correctly we used C.A.R. Products, Mother's, and some other stuff I can't think of. Like Adam's Detail Spray, their "showroom shine" smelled like bubblegum also! But since I have purchased Adam's Polishes, I'll never.....EVER....touch my Camaro with anything else. It's all easy to use and creates a flawless finish! The next kits I am looking to get is the "Wheel and Undercarriage Kit", the "Premium Hand Polish and Wax Kit", and the "Super VRT Kit."

Detail 2 u here in southern california uses a variety of different stuff. I personally use meguiars stuff, but since buying the new camaro have stepped up my game. I am now using a mixture of Pinnacle and Wolfgang products. They are NOT retail store bought stuff like mothers or meguiars or adams. These products are higher luxury quality stuff. Detail 2 u actually applied there $3200 bottle of Zymol wax to my car to really make it pop, and I want to keep it as prestine as possible. Also if you go to autogeek.net and look for the true paint sealant they have, 60 bucks or so, that is the EXACT same stuff dealers make you pay 500 bucks for to seal the paint. Its like adding another layer of clear coat to your car and comes with a HUGE warranty. Had it done to my car and have not regretted it since.

Also the products I bought were recommended by my detail guys and they were able to give me a dealer discount. A foam gun is also a must, whether for your hose or pressure washer. Thing works miracles when it comes to washing your car.

If you want to come off as someone knowledgeable in this business, at least get all your facts straight. Adam's is NOT a retail store bought product, and the Mirror Glaze division of Meguiar's is seldom sold in retail stores. Until recently, it was only sold online and at body shop supply stores. Just an FYI.

optimum opti-seal for me. i found out a long time ago it's the prep work that makes your car look good more than anything. the sealant/wax comes down to longevity and ease of use. opti-seal is wipe on and dry off...can't get much easier.

Prior longtime user of Zaino had been using Meguiars lately. Can't beat Meguiars Ultimate for cheap OTC but don't skimp on MF towels.
Switched to Adams products a few months ago and will never look back.
Great customer service as well. check out the Junkman's and other Adams Detail Videos. Great stuff. Pic is from first time using their detail products.Nothing compares for "wetness and depth" imho. It has only gotten better after adding more Adams products to the arsenal.

The mirror glaze division of meguiars can be found in almost every "auto retail" store here in southern california. Gotta remember that just because it is not sold around your area, doesn't mean its not sold around here. Adams can ALSO be found in stores here, HOWEVER, their full line is SELDOM found. You've gotta know where to look in order to find their product.

And you are absolutely right, I am just an average Joe with a below average knowledge about this stuff. I don't know anything more than what the commercials tell me or what the person down the street uses. I get all my information from hersay type stuff. No point in researching, testing, talking, looking, asking, experimenting, looking at the finish or anything like that when you have that "guy" online that posts videos about products and how he does his detailing work. Nope no reason to actually take any type of classes, or be taught by the meguiars team themselves... Nope just an average "punk" who thinks he knows something about something. Hope you are catching the drift here.

no offense, but just about anything clean looks good under that kind of lighting.
though it is too bad that shade of blue is not what the paint really looks like under normal lighting (sunlight), because it is a pretty shade.
