I drive about 5 mph over the speed limit and occasionally up to 7 over. I have never been stopped if I'm less that 10 mph over the limit. As the Camaro already says "HELLO, OFFICER!" all by itself, I don't drive more than 5 mph over in my Camaro. I've never had a speeding ticket and I don't want to start now.

My understanding is that if you have a radar detector and you do get stopped, you will definitely get a ticket. So, I'd rather drive safely and save the money by not having to buy a radar detector.

One thing about the Escort 9500ix is the ability for it to warn you about the location of speed and red light cameras. It also learns where false sources of radar are and doesn't go off after three encounters. With a subscription of $30 you get three years of national camera updates, weekly.
It talks and shows you your speed ,whenever it encounters a signal.
As for laser, two hits in 10yrs.: don't really see the threat as major.

Best regardSS,

Elie
It's not that way her in Oilberta. I by no means condone drinking and driving.

I run a Passport 8500. It's saved my but for years. I try and drive within the law most of the time but with all that power under foot it's not easy.
