Of course they will. That doesn't say it's not quality. The lowest price that meets the specs that's generally the way it goes.

Maybe on the internet. The team at GM Performance Parts are car guys and gals. They own, race and drive performance cars. They want to deliver quality parts.

Yes they are in business to make money. That is why they have jobs. But to say that the GM Performance Parts are low bid or inferior is a false statement.

GM has many standards that need to be met if they carry the GM logo. For that reason many of the parts supplied to GM Performance parts may be different than what that vendor offers to the public. Does that make them bad?

I have worked with several exhaust companies over the past 15 years. Each company and their system has a unique sound or tone. It's a matter of personal taste.
GM Performance Parts has 3 part numbers for the V8 Camaro cat back.

My son has a Bassaini cat back on his 06 GTO. Quality parts with a distinctive sound. I have seen a lot of Corsa systmes on Corvettes. Some sound good others are not what I would prefer.

Lets wait to see the parts and pass judgement at that time.

Have a good day!

Robin

Robin - Thanks for sharing information here. I'm sure that's been posted before but I figure it can't be said enough. I think it's easy, sometimes, to take generosity for granted, and it doesn't help when there's so much anticipation and so many questions for a car that is being released in about a month. I'm not speaking for anyone else, but I appreciate your presence here and your participation

Regarding the three part numbers: I remember reading there were going to be two versions - a regular and off-road version. It seems we've seen at least one of those already, but can you shead any light on the third version? Is there going to be an option for a full catback instead of only a muffler replacement? I think there may be a market for many people here who will be making big power and looking into a dual 3-inch system. If you aren't in a position to share any more information, do you have an idea when we'll be able to find out?

Thanks, again, very much with sharing. You don't have to be here and post what you do.

Sincerely,

Chuck

I think your doing a lot of reading into something that wasn't said. I never said it was inferior or hinted at such. I think if your going to speak for a company you need to be sure to address facts. As my exact statment reads it is generally the minimum price that meets the specifications. I never said anything to indicate that GM had poor or excellent specifications.

It is also possible that at some point in time the vendor suppling these parts CAN change so Borla may not be making this product forever. Meaning Magnaflow, Corsa, Flowmaster or any number of other vendors can be making these five years from now.

The third part number for the GMPP Cat Back is the street version without the tips.

Then there are the part numbers for the V6 Cars

This thread has alot of that going on

Your posts easily mis-read as inferring cheap products, even tho we now know that's not what you meant. No harm no foul.
