I'm guessing that really there will be 2 V8's, and the weaker of the two will have the manual/automatic option

Camaro's (no matter what trim) always had manual/auto option though, didn't they? Some even had a mandatory Auto for the high-power ones...

First gen. ('67-'69) Z/28 was manual trans only, it was not available with auto trans, AC, or convertible (coupe only).
