WoW... just Wow... I think you've gone nuts with all these posts... I'll not call anyone anything... you've done enough of that for both of us. I'll take SGOS252382 comment as gospel... Hows that for you.

As long as you stay in M (paddle shifting) and do a down shift (I always start out 2-1-2 before driving), AFM will not kicks in. I KNOW because I have after market exhaust and I could feel and hear it even at low speed. Have been driving with the paddles the whole time because I am not ready for a tune. This auto put you in 3rd and 4th really quick in S mode and AFM will kick in very early. Paddles let you keep it off at all driving speeds if you are not ready for a tune.

mlee knows quite a bit. AFM WILL still come on in "M" mode if you don't keep your RPMS high enough. AFM reacts to your RPMs and to throttle input, not driving mode. Paddleshifting is an excellent way to control your RPMs, so used correctly, you'll almost never have to deal with AFM in "M" mode.

Before getting my tune, (but after my muffler delete) my AFM would kick in (even in M) once or twice right after hitting the road. A quick blip to the throttle (and repeat once or twice if necessary) would usually kick it back off for the rest of the day.

Regardless, I still got fracken sick and tired of goin through the motions and had it tuned out. SO much happier now.

My AFM would be on in "M" mode also, but as soon as I started paddle shifting and kept it in manual paddle shifting mode, my AFM was always off, others here have experienced this also. I don't doubt Mlee knows quit a bit, but he has been basically calling me a liar. I know with 100% certainty that AFM was not active, because with a Borla axle back there was no mistaking when AFM came on...

Mine didn't last long either, I bought a predator just to shut AFM off, that was also a very happy day for me when AFM went away, Love it now!

Just to clarify, I wasn't using the RPM's to keep AFM off, a lot of times I would go into 6th and let it dog some to get better mileage, in "D" this would always activate AFM. I would go back and forth at a steady speed to confirm this, AFM would kick, I would go into paddle shifting mode back to the same gear, speed, and RPM, and would get no AFM.....

Mlee....... there are multiple people confirming what I am trying to say, and I will find out from GM what the truth is..... you continued this debate between us by posting that my advice to others was "totally wrong".... I am here to help others with issues I have had and know to be true, I am not one of the people that post things without knowing them to be true first hand..... I experienced this with my car and you are telling me it's not true..... what is the problem here????

I should also clarify- when I say "M" mode, I'm referring to the indication on the DIC. The shifter may say "M", but until you hit that paddleshift button you're in "S" mode, according to the DIC. So when I say "M" I'm referring to the paddleshift mode, not just the Sport mode that you get when the shifter is all the way south.
