Why would he lie about that? Mayhaps the dealer is in a busy area and cannot be bothered to take the time (and subsequently the cost) to fix this vehicle when they could be using that time and personnel to sell more vehicles and do the easy fixes.

Perhaps, since the sale is already been made and the dealer been paid, the dealer really just does not care anymore and can't be bothered to care. Most people in OP's position would just pay for the fixes out of pocket, sell the car for a loss and be done with it. The dealer telling him to call the BBB is like a bully telling the kid he just beat up to "go cry to mommy". The dealer (or the salesperson/mechanic/whatever) may have been an asshole who thinks that the call will never happen anyways.

You have a good point. Guess my dealer was the largest in the region and like 7th largest chevy selling dealership in the US and they attended me VERY VERY well. Every problem I had they got sorted out within hours. Guess I forgot not all dealers are awesome!

That's what I'm trying to say. I believe the fact that his car is F'd, I just can't believe how sh!tty the dealer is acting towards a 8 time customer.

exactly. i couldn't believe it either when they told me to contact the bbb. i basically said you want me to file a complaint against your dealership?

anyhow. what i kept trying to say in my other post was i have an 08 vette not better lol.

ive been a gm customer all my life. i've never owned another brand vehicle. any of my vehicles never needed any service. this is the first time i have ever had issues with a brand new car. and its ridiculous, like said i before hopefully they will buy it back. and i can move on,

i'am not even sure i want another camaro, i dont think i would risk it again, but i'd like a couple months to make up my mind before they just say pick out a replacement vehicle. what happens if i get another bad one? i know it be rare but thats what is stuck in my brain,

i know they are not all bad but for me right now i'am done.

i will update the thread with everything that happens,

talked to gm rep today she told me to take it back to the dealership and have them try to figure out what the problem could be, so thats what i'am going to do.

i know it can be fixed but how do i know whats going to happen a month later? 2 weeks later? i will only have more miles on the car. and more people blaming me and calling me a liar.
cannot deal with it anymore.

the best thing for me right now is if they take the car back. it would be out of my hands and i wouldn't have to worry about it.

I am pissed I have had it with this car.

It had 200 miles cause they drove it from another dealer. I live in Ohio and they got it from Michigan. I would appreciate if people like you quit jacking the thread calling me a liar.

YES it is a chevy dealer yes I am the first owner. I do not need anymore crap. I hope they buy back this piece of junk and I can get on with my life. i do not have time for this everyday.

I can't deal with service and talking on the phone for hours at a time. I'm done.

Like I said I have an 08 better which has never been into service once.

Oh and YES the camaro is dealer stock I didn't change a thing. Hardly even drove it.

Why is everyone so shocked that this poor guys dealer sucks? The dealership I bought mine from sucked as bad as this guys does, fortunately my camaro didn't. I made the decision that once my car rolled off their lot they would never see it again. That stood true, they lost the dealership 6 months later, went out of business and a new chevy dealership opened up nearby taking none of the employees from the old place. Justice.

Not to steal the op's thread, but 200 miles is not that uncommon. My car also was a dealer trade, and had been test driven a time or two. It was driven from Pa to my dealer in Ohio with my consent. I told them if there was one mark on it, I would pass on the deal. I was there when the 60 year old driver pulled in with my car to inpect it, and it had 307 miles on it. At the time it was the closest 2ss/rs in inferno orange with black stipes and no sunroof. So I made the decision to take the 307 mile car (167 of those were the dealer trade) instead of ordering a new one and waiting 6 months. I might have made a bigger deal about it if they hadn't have been selling their 2ss/rs cars $1500 cheaper than anyone else I contacted within 100 miles of me!

When I bought my santa fe it had 360 miles on it. I also test drove a dodge charger with 560 miles on it, it was on the lot for 3 years then they tryed to sell it used I think it took them 4 years to get rid of the car. I also test drove a camaro 2ss auto with 147 miles on it. My point is, is that 200 miles is no big deal and very common.

You're gonna have to fight and claw for everything with the dealer and GM. And I'm betting the GM service guys on this site won't help you either. Didn't help me....

Gotta threaten em or outright take em to court after you meet all the lemon law requirements/
Good luck

Sorry to hear of your problems.

I would call GM Oshawa 905 644-5000 and ask to speak to the Director of Quality for the Camaro Plant. I am sure Dan would help you out.

or ask to speak to the Plant Manager as I know he would want to know about this problem also.

I have seen them bring cars built in Oshawa back to the plant to be fixed.

Good Luck!

So which dealer in Ohio is it. I know If they treated me like you say you were treated I would be posting their name on everything to let people know to stay clear of them. Like others have said, this doesn't seem to add up. If this dealer did do this to the op then I would hope that GM would pull their dealership from them.
