absolutely not. i think it is debuting on the v6 300 with that special package but it will eventually be in every applicable car.

I don't care about anything else.... you can't touch a brand new SRT8 for under 40k.........
The SRT8 does not come with the luxurious cloth interior or stripped of features. The SRT8, like the GT500 and upcoming ZL1 will be somewhat loaded as a base model. They are not catering to the discount crowd to compete on price, they are the premium brands. Marketing 101

Again, you only make my point for me.... we're not comparing apples to apples, but apples to oranges...

Most people look at more than just 1/4 times when buying a car. For many the power, handling, room, and excellent multimedia features are plenty enough reason to buy the SRT8 over the Camaro.

Plus the Challengers nasty looking rear, ability to float on water, and turning radius of a canoe....even more reasons.

from what ive gathered on the net they trap an average of 111mph and put down 420rwhp. Theyre pretty fast given theyre morbidly obese. Faster than both the GT and SS stock apparently.

again, no denying that....but at the cost difference....its not on the same playing field. Put the gt500 against it, and see what happens. They keep saying the GT and SS are closest.....closest below cost.....lets put a few K over the cost and see what happens.

The thing you are missing is that the SS/GT is the the same difference under the SRT (comparing the same or similar equipment) as the GT500/ZL1 are above it. it falls in the middle and is not really a comparison with either. Hell, it offers features stock the Camaro does even have available, and when you option the Mustang to match it is not that much less expensive then the SRT-8. Also, i find the other post you made above pretty funny considering when Motor trend put the SS against the 2010 SRT-8 (not even the 2011 with much improved suspension and steering) they were pretty well even in handling abilities, so if the Challenger is a canoe, then the Camaro must be a dingy???? Also on the turning radius, there is a whopping .4 foot difference (37.7 for the Camaro and 38.1 for the Challenger).

Look at all the numbers from the tests on the 2010 I can care less of the opinion of what the author said....for 2010, it beat the srt8 in acceleration, quarter mile, braking, figure 8 and crushed it in price....so what is your point on even bringing up 2010? And it should have stock features the Camaro doesn't offer.....it's 10k MORE!!!!

a fully loaded GT and SS come out to close to what an SRT8 does in price even though the srt8 has more equipment. I think its fair to compare them.

You are nitpicking, in the ONLY known test where anSRT8 and Camaro was tested on the same day/same conditions, the Camaro was only .1 second quicker 0-60, .2 in the 1/4 mile, DID THE SAME .92G on the skidpad, and stopping was only 5 feet more. Again this is a 10 model and the 11 will be MUCH better in basicaly all categories.

As for what you get, the wheels are lightweight Alcoa models, the Brembo brakes are bigger and more powerful, you get special SRT only seats (leather and suede I believe), touch screen head unit with a 30 gig HD, push button start, passive keyless entry, MUCH better interior materials and room to actually haul peopl in the backseat and stuff in the trunk, in the 11 models you also get 49 more HP, more torque, let's not the available Navigation system.

I like both cars, but I definatly understand why the SRT8 costs more than the SS, you simply get more car, literally and figuratively. The Mustang Boss is anoth example on a totally different tangent You can't get a lot of lux options or frills in it, it is designed for thrills and at 40k is EASILY worth every penny. TO each their own, but the cars are all worth what is asked of them, and oh, the 12 Mustang GT starts around $2000 cheaper than an 11 1SS, never mind when the improved 12 Camaro comes out as the price will sureley go up, but be well worth it. I know, the Mustang and Challenger both have ugly rear ends, right? The rear on the Camaro isn't exactly anything to write home about. Again, i love all 3 ponies, but there isn't a one that is really over priced. Look at anything from another country that is even comparable to each one of these and you looking at an extra 20k plus or more
