I took out mu mufflers and you can really notice it happening. My wife hates it and thinks there is something wrong with the car. But overall, I personally don't think it's that loud. I mean it is a lot louder, but I don't think it's that bad.

I did this and it's awesome. First off I got the SLP loudmouth KIT. I did everything my self. I measure back 1.5in i beleive from the muffler and then cut it off. I used a Zaw Zaw and it worked fine, then pull the old mufflers out. The rest of fairly easy as far as putting it together. Now one side was kind of pain and I sat there thinking there was no way this was made right, but after a little adjusting it came out fine. Took me about an hour. The longest part was making the tips look the same, finally had to call a buddy over and have him look at it while i played with it. Suggest a impact wrench otherwise if you do it by hand it will move around to much on you. As far as the pop ive heard its the extra fuel being burnt off. At that same time I bought the diablo sport tuner for the Camaro and just used the pretuned tune on that, after I did that the poping noticeable went down. I think it sounds pretty good, and really dont think your going to get much better than this for the price unless you starting looking at headers or Cat back exhaust.

And note its not obnoxious loud either, i mean women might gripe since its louder than stock. I tried going to local muffler people and they wanted like 200 to do the delete so i spent the extra 100 bucks go the SLP which gives you 5" tips instead. With this route so you can always weld the old mufflers back on if you dont like the sound and as long as you make a clean cut.

LOL. I was just about to say the same thing.

It takes about 60 seconds to turn of DFCO and re-flash.

I believe the auto tranny shifts into neutral when you let off of the gas...unlike a manual (obviously) unless you push the clutch in yourself. I don't think the auto's have the popping that the manuals have, unless in manual mode as stated before.

Having the same problem, thought something was wrong with the car. Sounds good and now I know its just the exhaust saying hello.

I agree that the decel popping is normal for a LS3 - and the noise is not hurting anything. However, both the LS3 and the L99 (along with about every other OBDII car on the road) have DFCO yet only the LS3 pops. I have turned DFCO off with HPT but the decel pops continued. Changing lead-in and lead-out decel timing does lessen the popping. I don't know any way to stop the pop!

My M6 car and my A6 car both have about the same exhaust system yet only the M6 has decel popping. I suspect the L99 VVT cam is the reason it does not pop.

Normal and sounds awesome! No worries as others have said. The stock system popped too.

Than there are people like me that could not stand that annoying sound. When I had my car in the shop for the HP mods I made it a point and stressed to them that I wanted as much of that popping sound tuned out as possible. May have lost a few MPG but I did'nt buy this car for the gas mileage anyways. Now it sounds perfect.

After I put on my Borla Atak, I asked about the pops... Thought something was wrong or a tuning was needed. But somebody told me to "Learn -- to -- LOVE -- the -- pops". I'll never forget that. Once I knew nothing was wrong, I sure have really "learned to love the pops!" It makes it sound so wicked cool rolling up to a red light... ;-)
