Nice Leather Interior + all of the luxuries or big engine and mediocre interior.... Hmmm
I would probably just save up a little more and get the 2SS at that point.

Just my take... 1SS>2LT by far.
I am of the school of thought that a high performance muscle car should have at least a V8, not a V6. everyone makes up their mind and comes to different conclusions, and for different reasons, but to me, going with the V6 over the V8 kind of says, I only like the car for its style, and I dont care about performance. Sports/muscle cars are performance cars, not luxury cars, and to buy a watered down V6 version because its decked out with all the leather goodies, instead of the V8 that doesn't have the luxury items, to me, kind of comes off as missing the entire point of the car. If you want luxury, buy a BMW or something. Besides, I have a 2SS and I can tell you that the luxury features are not that much to get your panties in a wad about. Its nice to have them if you can afford them, but I wouldn't sacrifice the V8 power plant (which is what this car is SUPPOSED to be all about) to get the luxury items. Like I said, just my opinion, but its like missing the entire purpose if the car. They're not supposed to be luxury cars, theryre supposed to be powerful muscle cars. Having said all that, in an attempt to not flame anybody or be flamed myself, let me say this. I have no problem with the V6, or anbody that chooses to get one for whatever reason. They're still damn powerful, and still great cars. People have many different reasons for choosing the V6, and in the end YOU are the one who has to drive it and make the payments, so make sure youre happy with what you get. And if, for you, it comes down to an issue of what you can afford, I would much rather see someone in a V6 Camaro than none at all, or to see someone break their bank and mess up their credit trying to buy a car they really can't afford. You won't hear me bash anyone for getting the V6, and I dont think I'm better or look down on V6'ers. Its just that my personal opinion is, for me anyway, if youre going to get a muscle car like the Camaro, why not get an actual muscle car with the V8? Again, that's just me and my opinion, not bashing or hating on the V6'ers. A couple final thoughts I'll leave you with: Seems like all the time I see V6'ers who feel the need, or get asked by someone else, to explain why they got the V6 instead of the V8. I've never seen it the other way around. No one asks, "man, why'd you get the V8 instead of the V6?" Also, how many people with the V6 say, "man, I wish I'd gotten the V8," as compared to how many V8 guys wish they'd gotten the V6? I know plenty of V6 guys that love their car and are happy with it, and thats fine, no hate from me. It just seems to me like you can never go wrong, unless its a money issue, buying the V8. I don't know anybody who regrets getting the V8, but there are plenty of people who say they wished they'd gotten the V8 instead of the V6. I say go for the 1SS, and then upgrade HUD, gauge cluster, or whatever later, if you decide you need that feature. I just don't think the luxury upgrades are that much to give up the V8 for, and that's coming from someone that has both the V8 and the luxury upgrades. Then again, its your car and your payment and insurance, so go with what works best for you, and f#$k whatever anyone else says about your choice later. Haters gonna hate. Buy your car for YOU, not what I or anyone else tells you you should get. Test drive 'em both, and buy YOUR car. I already bought mine; I can't pick yours for you. |

Is this supposed to be some sort of crack at the length of my post? If so, I'm sorry you can't handle a slight amount of reading that shouldn't take you more than a minute. I didn't think it would be that taxing on anybody. Maybe you should get off the internet for a while and increase your attention span back to normal levels.
I'm just trying to give some sincere advice to the OP, to help him with his decision. If my advice doesn't work for you, or if you think the post is too long (it really isn't) then feel free to just skip it. Don't be a troll, dude. |

And it is pretty damned long. Maybe you're new to the whole forum thing. I mean, you even added "a couple finals thoughts" for F's sake.

Just trying to help the guy out. In the future, I'll just send him a PM, so I can avoid a-holes like you complaining about the length of the post. I just thought my advice may benefit the OP and others who might read this thread. I'm not new to internet forums, and I can spot trolls and dickheads on forums, so unless you're going to be constructive, I'm just going to ignore you. I'm so sorry I offended you by my post exceeding the length you deem appropriate. Next time, just skip the post and don't read it, if it's too much for you. |

It's not an issue of being "touchy," its an issue of being tired of dealing with too many dumbshits on the internet and having zero patience for them. Your post didn't come off as being humorous, it came of as being "I'm another ignorant troll on the internet." So, in the interest of avoiding hostilities let me man up and say that I jumped to a conclusion about you too quickly, and mistook your humor for being an ass. For that, I am sorry. It might help you to remember that sarcasm and humor does not translate well into text, and if you re-read your post, I'm sure you'll see how I could have mistaken your intent. |
