Ford sucks, if mustang owners are honest with themselves they are still playing catch up from the fourth gen cars.

Here is a kicker. Road and Track, April issue... Ford Racing Performance Parts for your 2010 Mustang GT. Whipple Supercharger, X pipe racing exhaust, Hurst short throw, fr3 handling pack. This adds $10,500 to your pricey GT and horsepower???? 400bph @ 6100rpm and 400ft lbs of torque @ 4500rpm
Ha Ha put it up against a stock SS and you still lose

I dont agree. Looks are subjective, and alot of people, me included, actually really liked the GTO. Fact of the matter is, GM followed the same exact formula with the GTO as they did the first time around- big engine in family car. The first GTO's were Tempest Lemans with a 389 shoved under the hood and some badges slapped on. People now days just don't want to buy the sleeper look, so it failed.
Don't you think the GTO would have been a bigger hit if it were badged a Chevy as a Chevelle?

Absolutely.

Honestly I'm only 6 foot tall and I felt cramped in the mustang.... even the passenger side is small. To be honest I never really cared for the aesthetics of the mustang either.... It just never looked "good" in my opinion... the Shelby's look OK IMO. But hey, that's just my opinion.

I'm a Chevy guy all the way too. But looking at it from the Mustang owners point of view they did'nt have much choice but to buy a Mustang if they wanted to buy American. GM left everybody out in the cold. The Vette does'nt suit many peoples needs, the GTO was thought to be overpriced and unattractive (other than the interior) to many people. Ford was fat, dumb and happy making profits on the Mustang without putting any money into redesign, and they knew they had the convertible market cornered too. The huge drop in Mustang sales reflects not only the economy, but the fact that customers now have additional choices with the Camaro and Challenger. I'm sure there are Camaro buyers who would have bought a Mustang eventually if the Camaro and Challenger had not come out.
Its nice to see the tables being turned on Ford now isn't it?

3rd THE GTO WAS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE GM MADE IN A LOOOOOOOOOONG TIME
WAY TO RUIN A CLASSIC AMERICAN MUSCLE CAR! WHAT AN UGLY PIECE OF SH^^
6The GTO was great car that got bashed by the media. If you call it a piece of shit then your also pretty much calling the 5thgen Camaro a piece of shit. The only questionable thing about the GTO was looks. It performed well. I have said it many many times this Camaro has a hundred times more in common with the GTO than it does with an fbody.

And whoever said that doesn't represent the intelligent contingent of the Mustang owner population. In short, he's a retard.

is it just me or does anybody else notice that the ford guys are always saying "just wait a few years when they remodel, that will beat you(either chevy or dodge)" i think its hilarious that they always compare their future cars and trucks to our cars that are allready a few years old by the time they get them. just to say it again later when our next year model comes out
