I'm leaning towards the MRT V2.0 but haven't heard any sound clips from anybody with a LFX engine. Just curious to see if it sounds any different from a LLT engine
I went MRT V2 and I've received compliments from several V6 and V8 owners.

I got a discount on a packaged deal for my MRT V2 & a CAI Inc Cold Air kit from Juiced Motorsports. I couldn't find a better deal for the combo anywhere.

UPS guy just brought my MRT V2 Axlebacks. Can't wait to get them installed - now I just have to decide if I'll do it myself with the clamps, or have a muffler shop weld them in.

SO which way did you go? clamps or muffler shop weld? And video of the installation?

I couldn't get the muffler shop to do it until Monday, so I went ahead and did it myself with the clamps. I figure if I detect any leakage I can always take it in and have the guy weld it. From what I can tell, there's no leakage but who knows after I heat 'em up good and run 'em a while.

Sorry - no videos but I will tell you the whole thing took me about 45 minutes. I had to cut one of the pipes several times to get it to hook up even with the one on the other side. No biggie though.

The main difference that I hear is the MRTs are a bit deeper/throatier, and perhaps a bit louder when I get into it. Sorry I couldn't record going down the road, but the MRTs have more growl to them. I like 'em!!!

I recorded both with a digital audio recorder (that I use for my music), under identical conditions (cold start, same volume levels, same height and distance from rear of car). Now I just need to figure out how to attach a .wav file to a post. Any suggestions?

Oh yeah! Just took about a 20 mile ride out in the country where I could air it out and turn the new exhaust loose. What a difference when I put my foot in it. Even just cruisin' it has a richer more mellow (and a bit louder) sound.

Closed all windows and didn't find it loud enough to curtail conversation... unless you put your foot in it. But so what? If you put your foot in it you're not doing much talking anyway. Much deeper tone than stock.

I am a MRT-V2 convert!

so, uhhhhh... anyone interested in some nearly-new stock mufflers? I'll give you a heck of a good price!

I've not heard of anyone who has tried a Borla system, likely because of the price. Anybody heard of an owner's experience with them?

I had a 2011 2LT/RS that I put the GMPP exhaust on, which is just the Borla exhaust, rebranded to GM. It was okay. I like my MRT V2 better. The Borla was a little bit quieter, and not as aggressive when you put your foot in it.

Okay. Since I don't want to establish any more Internet accounts (Google and YouTube) to post my video, yall can go to my FaceBook page and view/listen to the new MRT-V2s I just installed.

Go here: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?...lationships#!/

And scroll down to the Camaro video under my name (Jim Palmer) and click the "Play" button. Not great quality but you can sure get a feel for the pipes. Needless to say... I love 'em.

My future exhaust

That link worked for me. Great sounding exhaust. That's the sound my car needs.
