Just installed new rims/tires/TPMS and thought I was going to have to do thisre-learn thing but for some odd reason it did it on its own. I drove around town, stopped, turned off the car went into Best Buy for a bit came out to the car started and looked at the tire pressure monitor and it was reading them just fine! I have no idea how this happened, but it did!

You got original GM TPMS sensors Pt# 12768826. Drive over 20 MPH for 5 minutes and the computer initiates the sensors automatically.

Driven it since Thurs even on the freeway, I'm not complaining about it in the least bit.

I just put aftermarket wheels on my car. The shop that installed them, used new valves and attatched my tpms to them. I drove away the system was fine. After that, I turnd the car on and I got the SERVICE YOUR TMPS error on my HUD. I tried the learn method over and over. It would not honk during inflation or deflation of the tire. I went in the order described by the instructions. I'm thinking the shop didn't put the tpms from the original wheels in the original postions. Does that make sense? I got the car to honk once, but that was it. I wasn't able to get the system to learn anything after that. FRUSTRATED!

Tried the deflate method on my '12 LS.
Didn't work at all.
Popped into the dealership - and they used their TPMS Tool; the deflate doesn't work in the '12 per the manual.

I own a 2011 and the OM clearly states that a relearn tool is needed.

DARN.

I tried the method indicated and the complete deflate method, neither worked for me. Looks like I'm headed to the dealer!!!

Find out how much they want first. Might cost almost as much as buying the tool.

Thanks for the link, I found this myself last week and wasn't sure if I should pull the trigger on the purchase. Do you know if the procedure is straight forward with the tool or do you have to have experience using it?
Thanks again.

There is about a two month back order on the tool, maybe they have reduced the wait by now, but i ordered it in April and got it in June. I ended up having a local tire place do it for free but some tire places wanted $10 a wheel. The dealer did it for free in the past, but its a pain getting a time slot at my dealer.
