Just attended the official unveiling of the Camaro at the nation's #2 Chevy dealer. They lifted the cover off a silver 2LT auto. They had a black 2SS out back sold, but the owner came in this morning and said he didn't want it. Tonight a new owner drove away in it. There was a crowd of people around it while the salesman was showing him how to operate the car.

The black SS Camaro looks just plain wicked with its wide, low stance. It sounds very civilized. The interior is really nice. This car just blows away the 2010 Mustang GT in terms of presence & curb appeal.

That's the same thing my wife said. She didn't understand that they were leftovers from the roses people bought for the funeral of the Mustang.

Please, more details on your drive ~!!!!!!

I was expecting the worst, but I was plensantly surprised with how well I could see outside the car. The side mirrors are really wide so you get a very good view of what is behind and beside you. I also thought that the rearview mirror visibility was good. I didn't get to get on the car much, but the power was impressive. The car felt very solid and hugged the road even at low speeds. One last thing that many people have commented on negatively is the exhaust note on the V6. It was started right in front of me and even at idle I thought it had a great sound for a V6.

I got in the front and back seat. The dash and hood is high(several inches higher than my parents 11 year old oldsmobile for crying out loud.) Thankfully you can see over, and even putting the seat up higher, you don't feel high. The back seat; leg room is bad. I splayed my legs around the front seat. I'll tell you one thing though, you sit up higher than the last two or three generations of Camaro. You don't feel like you're in a hole back there. It's way better than previous generations. Interior is pretty nice, and dash and gear shift are right in reach. Nice cockpit feel. Had a black leather interior, but dark grey door panel inserts, which gave it a little break up in color. Overall it didn't seem as large as it did when i saw it at the auto show.

they had their unveiling here in Orlando at Holler chevrolet... there was about 150 people, they were giving away free shirts (I got one), free food and beverages and a chance to win a camaro RS...

the RS they had had a silent auction in which you had to bis minimum msrp...there was about 12 envelopes in the box when I left

Unveil day in Stracuse,NY

This is the unveil day that i went to.Romano Chevrolet in Syracuse,NY.They made an event out of this.Police were there to take pics & fingerprint your little ones.Free food ,snacks, liquids & a raffle for assorted Chevy items.Tv crew was there. Here are some pics.It is a yellow lt/rs sunroof.I was surprised of the amount of people there. There was about a dozen customers corvettes there to help the show. The guys still said i like the corvette better.Oh,well.The dealer sent me a email about this event.

went to the unveiling at Hendricks in Cary, NC tonight...probably a few hundred people there, food, music, etc.....whatever...I was there to see the Camaro. They had the #1 and the pacecar with a "$40,000" paint job (according to the GM) and an IOM SS/RS/A6/Black Leather and ground effects that I actually got to drive thanx to Allie in the service dept....she is awesome! Can't thank her enough for getting me that test drive. But she was not as awesome as the car! The fit, the ride, the handling, the power all met...no exceeded my expectations! Although it was a short drive I know this is THE car for me! I'll try to upload a couple pics tomorrow

Had an all Camaro show at Day's Chevrolet with food and music. They also had 2 - 2SS's in the back that you could look at if you knew they were there. They were going to present the black SS to it's owner but couldn't get in touch with him. I would have been camped out on their doorstep!
