But it's 'The' and not 'They' that should have been used in that sentence.

Hey P-nut! Good to see ya, buddy.

Does this mean I can't respond with... "aight then", or, "git-er-done"? Or my favorite... "Ol Yeller" ?

[Ya'll] just use little words so I can keep up, [k]?

Agreed. I prefer reading "probably" but I can accept "prolly" as shorthand.

One thing I'd like to add ... get a spell check plug-in for your browser. It won't catch the grammar problems like their vs there but it makes reading posts a lot easier for others. Most allow you to add words, like Camaro (doesn't normally get recognized) so that you don't screw up and type Camero.

Shouldn't it have caught "grammer"?

If you screw up and type Camero, you should not have a computer to correct you. You should be outed for everyone to see. What is wrong with people that they type Camero?

Weight: "The weight of the car is 3800 pounds."
Weigh: "The car weighs 3800 pounds."
Wrong: "The car weights 3800 pounds."

That one reminds me of the Sale/Sell one, but not quite as offensive.

wear-"There was a lot of wear visible on the cylinder walls."
