Really, how do you shade black? I'm thinking charcoal gray because silver may stand out too much. Hope to see an installation before I by mine, although the investment is so small, if I don't like my first choice I'll just try another.

I've seen others (black ones) where the top was horizontally cut (level to the road) and i thought they looked good in pictures and had planned to cut the tops of mine. when i saw that these actually fill in the indentation exactly like GM stamped it, i left them alone.
did that make sense?
if that is even what you meant?

it sure seems like the ratio could be better... just sayin....

So the kit is labeled right side and left side. How is this determined by sitting in the car or looking at it from a frontal view?

Driver's side is left, passenger's side is right.

Slight Modification to Gill Vinyls

Hey all,

I got these same vinyls for our Camaro but was curious to see what they would look like trimmed off to be straight at the top. I was waiting to see if anyone else would take the leap of faith first, but figured it was only a small investment (compared to my paint job) so I said heck, I'll try it...and ya know, it actually turned out pretty sweet. The top and bottom edge of the vinyl flow with the lines of the car very nicely. Everyone who has looked at them personally loves them and has no idea that they've even been trimmed. Just be sure to use something sharp for a clean edge (I used some quality scissors). Simple to apply, and looks great!

I bought a set and put them on but i'm on the fences about the fill-in from a distance I like it but I think the shape of the moldings makes it wierd for the decals to look right with that top part. Your pictures look great though.

Nothing stopping you from cutting them to your liking prior to installation.
