They are all great!
I got lucky to get my hands on a used 2010 SS/RS.
Almost bought the base model the day before but thank God it did not happen because the sales manager was out of the office.
I am glad I got the SS since I do enjoy the added features and power.
I really would have kicked myself in the butt if I had bought the base model.
Oh I almost forgot, it is a fun car to drive.
The best I have ever owned!!

Because buyers remorse will come when you get something other than the best, and you will end up wishing you had better, and sad when you see a ss. Trust me I gave up on my ZL1 I had deposit on and got a new ss with all the options I wanted in the color I wanted, and the dual mode exhaust gives it the sound of my old hot rods, and the stick kicks. I daily drive mine, in town its 12 mpg getting 25 on the freeway. The options improved over time with the camaro, the front seats are both power now, theres the electric power steering, retro mirror, revised rear suspension, mylink, rear camera, revised steering wheel, leather dash accent, etc that came over time. I do not miss the zl1 option as I was going to use it as a daily driver and would have had to change tiers right away, get a better intercooler etc..and paid alot more. A 2ss is not that much more than a fully loaded 2lt/rs. Don't you owe it to yourself? Or do you want to be jelous of others cars in the future? To h with the rest buy the best.
Can not agree more.
I would have hated myself if I have gotten anything else but a SS2/RS.
Now I want a Corvette.
I love American cars, aways have...and always will.

You said you dont want to race . Then the 2LT is the car. 30mpg highway , drives nice looks great. dont have to put the premium gas in. still plenty of power with almost 330 horsepower . Great car. also good starter camaro and if you want to move up to the V8 you will know the car better aand know what you would want. Good Luck

I've had my 2lt Rs for over three years now and believe this car gets better with time. I've had plenty of opportunity to upgrade the last few years and glad I haven't. Know matter what you get it will rock!!
I believe the hardest choice is color

2lt/rs convertible.

that is what I have, and it is my DD. Plus, the current v6 puts out 323 HP. I'd've preferred a stick, but i didn't want to wait, so I got an auto, with tap shifters and remote start, which I find i use more than I thought I ever would.
But, again, This is the first car I've had (40 years old) that is a six cylinder. Everything else has been front wheel drive, and four banger for me, so the HP delivered with the v6 is plenty enough power for me.

If you drive like a typical 50 year old, you will get better than 20 mpg with a v8, but will always have the power available for occasional fun.

After test driving a 6, buying the 8 was an easy decision for me. I was 58 at the time.

IMO it all depends on how much money you want to spend. You can get the 2LT and have all the comforts, as well as save some money. If you test drive one and you feel like you need more power, try driving a 2SS. However, this car won't be as comfortable since it rides harsher.

If you have the money, your best option will be the ZL1. It allows a very comfortable ride with the magnetic shocks, it has a ton of power, and it also looks the best. You're only problem with the ZL1 is price, and gas mileage. If these factors don't matter, try driving a ZL1. A word of warning though, only test drive a ZL1 if you're truly interested in it, since it may ruin your experience in the other cars.

Quick change of subject but even if you do have the moola for a zl1 at the dealer today and they wanted an extra 5 grand just for the heck of it for the convertible zl1..... insane
