Daily driver in heavy traffic? L99 is probably the way to go. Stick can get old in stop and go.

But for pure driving experience, can't beat the LS3.

Any car with AFM can have the problem described by the OP occasionally, when the conditions are just right (or just wrong, more accurately).

That would have to be some insane traffic for the clutch on the Camaro to ever get heavy.
Too many negatives with the auto tranny. Man pedal is the only way to go.
If I wanted an automatic I would have bought a a Prius. (and then committed suicide)

I went to the local dealer to "look" the other day. 13 Camaros and not a man pedal in sight. The vulture (salesman) who swooped down said that every manual that arrives sells immediately.

Lol too many negatives with auto tranny? Lol search up the manual... I really loved that 2nd gear grind when I went for a test drive and the hill start and skip shift just blew me away.

I'm assuming that its the traction control kicking in however it seemed quite aggressive and really left me powerless.
I've experienced this once before in the 3 weeks that I've had the car but this one really left me hanging. This being there were other cars coming up behind me and I expected to be doing at least 65mph before they even got close.
Is this a typical automatic performance car traction control response? I know you can shut it off, but I'm not going to think to double tap the button every time I start her up and drive.
Depends on how hard you "punch it".....also suggest competition mode if you know you're going to do this sort of maneuver. It is less intrusive.

Traction control's intent is to maintain traction, obviously....if what you do threatens to let the tires spin (which is possible in your scenario)...it will engage. It's happened to me a couple times when in standard Stabilitrac...but I've learned to feather the throttle a little better to get the most power I can without engaging the nannies.

Get a good tune for the engine and the trans and your L99 will turn into the beast it should be. Get rid of the Torque management system, tune out the AFM, get a good engine tune and you will be amazed.

I would recommend Ted and his crew at JRE racing. This is simply from personal experience.

Complain about the nanny controls or do something about it to unleash your cars full potential, thats your two options.
