The previous generation Camaro (4th gen) went down because the 2002 Camaro wouldn't pass the new safety regulations that were set to take place in 2003.

Yep - just like the 93-97 Camaro looked like a Geo Metro and the 98-2002 Camaro looked like a Chrysler Concorde.

the tail lights arnt the problem for me. I like my 2013s better but the 14s arnt bad, they deffinitely grew on me. I thnk the Its the rear diffuser. Way too much of that plastic looking crap IMO.

I voted yes, but I don't know. looking at some 5thgens today I feel like it's messing with perfection. we'll see when we see them in person.

I need to see the new 2014 lights in person to get a real opinion. However, I'm liking them more and more every time I see them again in pictures.
I prefer the non-RS lights over the RS too.

Here are some images from the F-Body Gathering in Atlanta. I wasn't a big fan from pictures before and can say it looks much better in person.

I'm thinking GM needed to see that the Camaro was worth a 5th gen back in the late 90s early 2000s. So either they didn't see a demand OR they weren't really investing in the next generation at the time anyway. I'm sure Scott has better and more accurate info.

I don't really like them but I think they MIGHT look a little better if they were tinted... But it was still good of Chevy to try something new and try to make everyone else on the road know that is a Camaro from behind. I can spot a Mustangs taillights from a far distance away but it's harder with the 10-13 Camaros. Still though, they could have done better then what they did with the 14's.

My '70 Nova taillights looked closer to the '14's lights. Closer than the 1st gen ones in my opinion. The reverse light was in thev middle of the red lens.. No chrome in between,. Can anyone post a pic of the '70 Nova lights? Thanks.
