The OP just has the 3" pipes from the X back and that's it. |

Correct and ghost cam to clear things up. Running 3" pipes out the xpipe is by far the most effective sound note imo. I also have deleted rear cats which helps deepen the tone further.

Removing the mrt1 cleaned up the exhaust sound, reduced drone, weight a bit and did not affect performance at all. Im now sure that making the pipe after the xpipe 2.5" or larger helps reduce drone. The magnaflow has 2.5" outlets so this kinda makes sense.

I may try this....going from the x-pipe back with 3" pipes. I have my x-pipe in with long tubes, not the DT's. Wonder how much different the sound will be? |

Before I even saw your location, I knew you were Canadian from all the "yah"s used in the second video
The exhaust sounds great though man. I have to believe a good part of it has to do with the 3" piping, aside from the resonated X pipe. A lot of the 4th gen guys who did 3" tubing from the headers all the way back always seemed to have the best sounding exhausts.

Not if you delete the cats or add long tube headers.

Your car sounds great and glad that you are happy, but better than a V8, not one with NPP exhaust.
