No, the offroad and performance are different.

Here's photos of the off-road. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34754

Here is a picture of both?

Thumbs up

I have mine on order as well. I researched long and hard. I had a hard time finding one that will fit with the Ground Effects Package. SLP offered to develop it if I brought it from Ohio to NJ.

I have a Red Jewel, 2SS/SS on order with the ground effects being painted to match the body, Body color engine cover, etc and had to get a performance sound out of it. That is one of my most fervent criticisms of Chevrolet is that all their sports cars don't sound much like a performance car until you put a mod on the exhaust.

Thanks for the utube vid. It was one of the few I found for the GMPP that I could get an idea on what it will sound like. Mine should be installed this week when the dealership receives my car from the plant with everything else.

I CAN'T WAIT!

I've been listening to dozens of exhaust clips off the web lately, since I've decided this is my first MOD.

I think the acoustics of your garage are affecting the resonance note.

Any chance you can do another video of the car actually on the road, sorta like the SLP videos?

I get the feeling the car will sound different, but would like to be wrong, because this exhaust sounds the best so far IMO.

Thanks

Sorry, havn't checked this thread for a while. Can't post another vid. Only thing I can tell you is it is true to form whether it's in my garage or on the road. I've had someone drive by me at WOT and it roars. At idle it's just got a nice exhaust note. No drone even on heavy exceleration. Hope that helps.

SS in Black. Is there any chance that you make a video inside the car driving at a steady speed and maybe during acceleration? I like the sound of your GM Axle Backs the best so far, but I am really cautious and concerned (actually my wife is) about drone on the freeway and at 40-50 mph. Thanks.

Alfie, sorry can't make another vid right now... don't have my video camera working ( i dropped it grrrr). Only thing I can say is there really isn't any drone at cruise. Remember both the A6 and M6 have resonators after the cats. If you have the A6 they are larger than the ones on the M6. This is designed to cut down on cabin noise as well as provide back-pressure to the engine. If you just go with the axle-back system you won't have a worry. My wife had the same concern and she hasn't said anything about a difference of loudness at cruise inside the car. I can say out of all of the available systems the GMPP is probably the tamest but gives you that nice exhaust note rather than loudness... which is what I was looking for. Additionally, if you plan to do any additional mods in the future e.g. CAI or shorty headers etc. you're going to end up with even more sound. Just a thought.

Headers and GMPP exhaust?

What type of HP gain do you think you would get with the GMPP shorty Performance headers along with the off-road axle-back system? Want better sound along with additional HP.

Please give me your advise/info.

I think its hard to say and is really dependent on what equipment you choose. From what I've read, if you go with some kind of CAI, shorty headers, and any kind of free flow exhaust you can expect 25 to 35 gain in hp.

Thanks for the info, don't know much about car modifications but do now that I want to push the envelope on what I can add to this car.

I see your in the DMV area, are you familair with any shops that specialize in performance modifications that will stand by their work?

Thanks

Sorry, off hand I don't. You may want to post something in the Mid-Atlantic Regional forum. Lot's of folks with performance contacts on there.

Sounds great!

This isn't the track pack version right? I say this because they state the track pack version won't work with ground effects and this car seems to have them. Obviously everything can be customized. I am trying to decide which version to get. Thanks

Is your video of the track pack exhaust or the perfomence exhaust? I'v been on the forum for a week or so and I can't seem to find any video on the performance version. Also people tend to group both versions under "GMPP". Thanks

This is not the track pack version. It is the performance version. It is axle back only and still had the resonators intact.
