It uses the key rather than the pull tab so if you leave your top down you can still leave stuff in your trunk. (on a side note, you must also press the lock button twice on the FOB to disable the trunk button on drivers door).

At least that's what I have heard, please verify for us

Yes, there is a key hole.
But it is NOT for the purpose you describe.

That is the backup way of getting into the trunk in the event of a battery failure.

The back seat of the convertible does not fold down

The convertibles have a key slot next to the side bolster on the drivers side rear passenger seat.

Insert ignition key, and turn. That will release the trunk lid.
The back seat does not fold down on the convertible.

I personally don't like how the ebrake handle is on the right, it's also a pain to disengage as your arm is in an akward position but oh well lol The lock button is on the stereo on my 11 as well not just a 2010 thing.

I dunno if it's that unique. I mean, there's a few other cars that have them, Corvette for one.

You have to yank off the rear bumper cover to change the reverse light bulbs.

1. Battery located in the trunk. Sure stays clean this way.
2. Emergency brake located on the passenger side of the center console.
3. Trunk release button located in the middle of the drivers side door panel.
4. Gas cap located on passenger side.
5. Ignition. You don't have to hold the key to start the car. You just turn it enough and let go and it continues to crank until it starts. Kinda like a push button start but using a key.
6. My 1le has 4 tires of the same size but none of them can be rotated. Rim size is different between front and back.
I knew all those things.

Think the battery on the Camaro is odd? Try a Solstice. Gotta remove the fender to change it on that one.

My 2004 Monte Carlo had that kind of ignition where you just bump the starter part of the ignition and it cranks until it starts. It had about a 4 second burst before the starter would shut off if it didn't start. That car also had the "anti kidnap" release in the trunk and if you notice it glows in the dark. After driving for over 30 years I hate the fact that this car has the gas cap on the passenger side. After a year and a half of ownership if I am daydreaming when I pull into the station I pull on the right side of the pumps. Worst car I have owned for blind spots, the whole car seems like one big blind spot from the doors back.

Dean.

IMO the basic 2014 SS package looks just as good as the optional RS package.

The microfiber steering wheel and shift knob on 1LE is more cozy.

2014 the third brake light between outer tale lights makes car more visable.

GM emblem on headlight bulbs. Is this on none RS package only?

....I guess when you turn the ignition key and don't have to hold it until it starts is somewhat different, unique, I don't know. But then again push button stuff is out there........

Yea the door unlock thing really got me. For about 2 weeks I didn't know how to unlock the door to let passengers in. I kept forgetting. Just make sure you don't lock your keys in the car...if you don't have OnStar that is. HUD would have been nice.
