My wife says I should be proud to have such a nice car, and I am, but I guess I feel guilty having such a nice car in a bad economy.
I used to feel a little bad about buying a brand new car in a bad economy, but I try to turn it around and just say "I work hard, I deserve it, and I love it." But I don't act like "It's just a car".... I feel proud to be a part of such a great Camaro family, because we could have bought just about any car we wanted, and let's face it...there's nothing practical about this car..for anyone. We bought it because it says something about who we are, and we love it! Be proud!

You should never feel bad about what you have. If you paid for it with your own monies then you have earned it. If you feel guilt about that then maybe donate or volunteer to a charity. I am grateful that I have the ability to enjoy the fruits of my labor. As far as the complements, I say thank you and would you like to sit in it?

See... I was always on the outside looking in. Having never owned, but always admired! And as with everything, until you experience it yourself, you don't realize what all comes with owning a Camaro. I do amuse myself while watching their necks strain! (watch the road buddy!)

But I am not one for taking credit for someone elses accomplishment, so I pretty much nod my head (flash the perma-), and say "They certainly did it right!"

I usually just say "Thanks. GM did a great job with this car, I love it." That response gives me the option to talk cars if I want to, or leave if I don't.

I usually just smile and say thanks. I've had a lady at a stop light open her door, and lean out to get a better look at it, and then tell me it was her favorite color. I had a car full of what I would assume were teenage girls honking their horn and waving/shouting things, while driving down the interstate. Most people just stare at it, tell me it's a nice car/color, and move on.

The strange compliments are interesting though, that's for sure!

For being the first new car I've ever purchased for myself I am proud and I wouldn't ever let anyone else make me feel guilty.....I'm happy that I can afford this car in this crappy market

"Thanks, she gets it all the time". If someone comes up to me usually I'll let them have a peek at it. I don't mind people coming and looking at my car or asking me questions. Makes me feel better about my purchase.

Victoria has definitely turned a few heads, and I'll try and answer their questions, and then tell them to check out Camaro5.com. I've finally printed out the Welcome Cards, and given out 4-5 in the last couple of weeks.

I usually say "thank you" "she is a fun car to drive"

I think my best moment was a couple of days ago when I was driving through a parking lot (after chasing down a new SW SS-he already knew about Camaro5). I passed a little boy around 9-10, and I hear "OOOOhhhh WOOOOOOWWW Mom!! Looooookkk!" and he's pointing at the car, and mom's not "seeing" what he's looking at. Gave him a thumbs up, got a big smile from him, PermaGrin got REAL big!

people come up to compliment my kids and say how cute they are. I'm of course proud so I say "thank-you!" with a big smile. Sure, with a car it's different because it isn't personal, it's just a thing, but nevertheless it's a compliment to something that you appreciate. I'd say a casual "Thanks man!" with a big smile.
