I just used a cheap laquer thinner. I waited until the basecoat was dry to the touch. I'd say about 15 minutes after the last coat was applied. You need to keep the spot on the rag clean and keep working the paint off slowly. Once the rag shows paint transfer move to a different spot on the rag. You want the rag moist with the thinner not excessive. Dont want any drips or your starting over. Laquer thinner evaporates quickly so I had to keep wetting the rag over with more thinner. It wasnt hard to do it just took a little time.

Laquer thiner applied to fresh basecoat will soften the paint almost immediately.

looks as good as a stock cover, and you saved $270. did you use a pro paint gun, or a can?

Sherif....I'm in the same boat as you. No professional paint equipment so I am stuck using a can as well. What brand is that paint exactly? Did you do any prep work before applying? How many coats did you do (or just use the whole can...that's what it sounded like at least)? Nice way to save some $, plus as far as I know they still don't offer the cover in blue. Thanks
