Thanks thats what i wanted !

What does exhaust and CAI mods do to the warranty?

Back on topic, that's a great time and certainly helps illustrate how much potential there is in the Gen5 SS. Congrats and good luck in dipping into the 11's.
I say hater because generaly any of the posts about a Camaro 1/4 mile run where someones compares it to a Mustang you have to chime in. I get it you like the Mustang (I do as well), but the inferiority complex is showing. The Camaro is a much better car and most likely will be until Ford gets rid of their small modulars and the solid rear.

M/T makes a 265/40-18 drag radial;that's what I ran on my previous vehicle. It measured 26.3".

THAT tire would be fine for a FRONT rim for a corvette.. not the BACK.

recommended rim for that size tire would be around 8" or so..

Orange chevy Stated he used an 18" rim from a Z06 which would be 10.5" wide (assuming the rear Z06 rim).
I don't think that tire would fit that rim..

OrangechevyII needs to tell us the tire size.

Im pretty sure the tire height and the rollout he gained with those radials helped with that E.T. as well. Great time and great driving. Also a great reaction time as well. Great memorable pass that will be recorded for you on video for ever. Ah good times.

I started this thread awhile back.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The car stock weighed 3960
The car with Fbody brakes on stock wheels 3850
The car on 16" CCW's and C5 Zo6 wheels and radials 3835
The car with 16" CCW's and C5 Zo6 wheels and headers with 3" custom exhaust..................3760

All weigh in's are with a 200# driver in car. Hope this helps!

Guys I dont know what els to tell you......it still has the stock crank pulley. Nothing els has been done to the car. All the traction devices were off. When the traction control was on it still went a 1.77 60ft.

Thank you for all the compliments.
Quick question on the quoted weights...
Was the stock weight done as race weight? (car + driver)

And was the weight after mods also done car + driver?

Because subtracting the 200lb driver from both stock and post mods curb weight would put your car on the light end of the scale for 2010 Camaros - 3760 and 3560 lbs. respectively.

Also it seems to show that just changing brakes netted a 110lb weight loss. Lighter front and rear wheels only 15lbs and then swapping in a CAI and full exhaust dropped another 75lbs.

-Either way great results from well thought out, tried and true drag racing mods and a well driven pass in average air.

I watched a guy run mid 12s with just drag wheels and drag radials on his
LS1 z28 (no power mods, that's it). Wheels and tires can make a huge difference in track times.
So, it was basically the tires that made it go 12 sec flat. NOW I can understand (of course with the CAI and Exhaust added).

Still...a GREAT run none the less!

Guys were all on the same team here, Ive ran 11.80's on the stock tires. Ive cut 1.80 short times with the stock 20" tires. Now the ET was a dry shot, how small? It only picked up a half a second.

All the weight #'s are with as 200 pound driver in car. I put that in there in the original post I quoted.

What gives on the smaller tires and wheels?I swapped the 20" wheel for a 16" wheel. The rear are a OEM Zo6 wheel and they are heavy.

The tire size is a 315/30r18 M/T Radial.
