As far as pulling a Camaro over just to "check it", not a great idea, for several reasons. That is how you get personnel complaints made against you. Not everyone has a good sense of humor. Another reason, you pull a car over just to check it out and when you walk up to the car there is a load of drugs in it or the driver is impaired. When you go to court and are asked by an attorney the reason for pulling over his client and say "cuz I wanted to check out his car." CASE DISMISSED. lol

Anyway, keep the great pictures coming of your cars guys, so I can keep dreaming in color till I can get mine.

As an Lt. on the FD I get a lot of time to chat it up with the local police. Recently I was talking to the PD Chief and he called and tried to get the V8 and they simply told him 'you don't need it'. :(

He was pretty frustrated overall.. a few of the guys we have worked for ISP and got to drive B4Cs and really wanted the extra power. Chevy just wasn't building it. :(

Race him, Yea right, after you spank his ass one of his buddies will jump out of the bushes and confiscate your car so they can sell it and use the money for trips to Hawaii.

Probably wants to race you just outside of some small town with a local sheriff.

I was one of those lucky guys in the ISP to drive the B4C Camaro. The one I drove was dark green 1999 LS1 and was very stealthy. When a Troop drives a car like that you have to pace yourself or you'll work yourself to death. Getting in and out was not bad. I owned a Camaro so I was used to falling in and climbing out. You get pretty used to it after you've done it 2 or 3000 times. I once stopped a Mercedes Maybach and a Corvette running together on the interstate. I had the Maybach at 109 MPH on VASCAR and the corvette at 107 MPH on moving radar. The Corvette driver was from Scottland and the female driver of the Maybach was from California. Vette Driver was in the US on vacation. He went to Bowling Green picked up his new vette and was touring the country. Guy said his wife had to go to the rest room. He also said he was taking the vette home with him at the end of his vacation. I figured from his life style he wasn't a cop so I tried to explain to him he was not on the Autobahn. The Maybach was brand new and they are very expensive and very quick for a big car. The Maybach has a V-10 and less than 100 are imported to the US a year. Needless to say both drivers had sufficient Cash for the Bond. I'd almost come out of retirement to work speed enforcement in a new SS L99 Camaro.
