I talked to a tuner and he said the V6 is an awesome engine. He said he could easily get it to 500 HP. With some fun stuff added to it.

Guess you and I were the only ones to pick up on that line...a 300C is a HUGE car!!

Eh...sounds to me like you wanted the SS but didn't buy it for whatever reasons...also, the auto is going to feel slower (IMO only...that's my thoughts...so don't beat on me!!).

A M6 SS gets out and performs pretty nicely IMO...a 1SS without the RS option really does when you look at price!

WOW?!?!? And you still want to "test drive" the SS version??
I think you just made a mistake by buying the V6 in the first place. (You must be taking a huge loss for buying the V6 first and maybe buying a V8 now.)
Good luck I guess.

I got. 6.1 0-60 and 14.9 for the quarter.
There were at least 3 reviews that gave this exact number for 0-60 months ago. I don't understand how this was a disappointment unless you bought the car without reading anything about it beforehand.

Agreed, well said my friend. This is what I mean though, you have a point!! Haha

I saw it at a car show. Didn't like color. Went to my dealer, sat in it ,never drove it or started it. Loved it. Still do. My v6 is fine, good response. If drag racing I would get the SS. We all our love our cars whatever model. If you are not happy please don't bash it. Also you should resign from here. JMO

hahah i jumped from ford but ive always wanted a camaro and have always liked them more than mustangs

Its the same feeling I got from the Charger and Challenger, it just feels like I am driving a cheaper rental car version of my 2005 300C.

The dealer is trying to persuade me with one of the SS they just got in, but they want $43k for it. For that money, I can get into a nicer car. What happened to the bang for the buck the Camaro used to be? Also not happy with the performance times I got. 6.1 0-60 and 14.9 for the quarter. Those were the times I could get in my 98 Mustang GT with 75 less HP. Maybe I am just expecting too much from the entry level version. We'll see.

What you need to do is go out and get a Nissan 370Z. You need to be nimble to be able to get out of the way of those bigger, heavier cars as they speed up behind you and pass you..Just hope they don't run you over in the process.

Loyalty is a tricky thing. I have owned all American cars and I can tell you that all of the ones I have owned were not great, but I will say that now one has less of an excuse than ever to not be loyal with the quality products Ford and GM are starting to and have been putting out.

As to the original poster. Sounds to me like you may not be the best consumer. One can assume that if your dealer is charging 43k for an SS that you probably over paid for the car you have now. Also if you were looking for an SS and went to one dealer who told you 43k and you said, "well that's it, I give up."; then that would tell me that you really don't know what you want or are looking for. Obviously the V6 wouldn't be as sporty as the V8 if the engine is in the same car.

I also have to say I don't blame anyone who gets annoyed with posts like this. This is an enthusiats forum is it not? The poster does not seem like one to me, but I guess this is all just my opinion. This is along the same line as everytime someone posts a 1/4 mile video or HP numbers for their Camaro that are better than a GT500 one of the GT500 owners has to chime in about their car and how it is better. Gets old.

Here is a perfect example:

Enjoy your car
If you are not interested in this car why would you post all over this enthusiast site?

Wow, god forbid someone say they don't like the car. Why is everyone taking one person's opinion so personally? As a potential buyer, ALL opinions are welcome. Isn't that what these forums are for?
