Amen brother!

Btw, my insuruance on the SS is going to be about 100 bucks a month...not bad considering I just paid 3,500 bucks in late traffic citations LOL

I will say in past generations this was a much easier question to answer. The older V6 motors to be blunt sucked really bad. My wife bought a 96 camaro rs while it looked amazing it was a dog. Not too many guys would have touched that model. Gm hit a home run with this Car making the choice much much harder.Watch the following video this is how many of old school felt the first time driving the V6

This is exactly how I felt when I picked up my 2LT; I do regret not ordering the RS package when trying to keep my budget below $30K. Since this is going to be my DD, I went with a sunroof instead since I figured that I will be spending 95% of my time in the inside looking at it and not on the outside.

Ultimately, it is your taste and what you plan to do with it that will make the final decision. Whatever you do, you won't regret it.

I rented a 2010 convertable mustang and let me tell you .. it sucks!! Its sucks down gas like its drinking a slurpee and has no pick up at all and was not very fun to drive. It only had 25 miles on it, so I know it was not reamed out at all.

Now I ordered my Camaro 2LT/RS without test driving it at all. But from what I here, it won't matter for I will love the drive of it .... I hope

1SS. But I see why people would choose the 2LT. Many girls I know that know nothing about cars would choose a V6 version with all the "cool stuff" over a V8 because they don't care about a V8. To me it just comes down to how the car sounds when you start it, and how it fast runs when you drive it. I take that back, haha.

History Repeats itself.

The models that they have made the least of is the 1ss, that is the car that you want. 2SSRS are a dime a dozen, and offer you nothing more in power and or now resale. The least made are the ones that will carry the monies in years to come.
If you have to have the leather, halos, gauges and the other options then buy it for your needs.

I own 2 COPOS from 1969 and they were bare to the bone back in the day with power. They made very few of them and people thought we were crazy.
who is crazy now!!!
Best of luck in your decision, either way they are both awsome cars.

sorry i'm new... but go for the 1ss.. even if it is "bone stock," cars aren't what they used to be, and all the bells and whistles can just get annoying if you're looking for a car you'll enjoy driving.. i'm going for a 1ss with boston acoustics, sunroof, and rs package.. but the choice is really yours.

(not new to the camaro, been on moderncamaro for a while, finally got bored and decided to see if things are jumpin over here)

2LT. The leather feels great and I love having my entire CD collection on a stick plugged into the system wherever I go. The 1SS is better for collecting speeding tickets or having contests of whose is bigger.
