I'm guessing she likes the blocky, blingy, futuristic looking vehicles (Flex, Cube, Scion xB, Honda Element etc...). To each there own. What about roadsters? Like a Miata, Saturn Skyy, Honda S2000 or Solstice? Those are "cool". But she wouldn't be able to drive many friends around. But, wind in your hair, with the top down on a twisty road...can't beat that.

I'd never give a teenager a compact convertible. It's an accident waiting to happen.

Interesting choice, I looked at a couple those at the local dealership and they have an option shag pile carpeting circle in the middle of the dash board, interesting. IMHO the Kia Soul is nicer in that segment, and I love my Patriot (of course the AWD on it is nice)

If it's not a DD then there no reason for a sedan. Also if money is an issue like you stated then the SS is the way to go. You do not get what you pay for in the SRT-8. The widest tire available is a 245, C'mon chrysler. The SS has better build quality and is a little more compact but the benefit to that is weight savings. Once again size doesn't matter because it won't be a DD. I don't care what the Chally guys claim, the SS is faster and handles better for a much more reasonable price.

The Camaro SS is faster than the SRT. Period. Every independant test agrees on this. As to build quality, look at the Challenger issues/recalls so far, and I got most of these off of a Challenger forum! #7 cylinder misfire (a factory recall), headliner issues, cars leaving the factory without a front spindle nut (a factory recall), catch can/oil pressure issues, etc. Sure, the Camaro had the battery and tranny issues, but those have been resolved already. This spindle nut issue was just addressed by Chrysler THIS MONTH! And it affects Challengers from 2008! And don't take my word on quality, pick ANY independant party and see where GM and Chrysler rank on quality. Good luck finding even one that has Chrysler ranked higher.... |

Oh boy, here you go, not that I am a Chrysler fanboy, you'll find posts where I stand up for both the Camaro and Mustang also bud. THe fact is you go to the track and between the SRT8 and SS it IS going to be a drivers race. The Camaro has it's fair share of issues, there a recall basically as soon as it came out for electrical issues and what about the tailshaft issues on the 6 speeds? Remember, it has only been out half as long as the Challenger. Also by build quality I believe that refers to how the panels line up, interior quality, materials, etc, and that was what I was referring to anyway. And this will be my only post back to you as I am not getting into one of your pissing matches. |

How does a car with no spindle nut make it almost 2 years without the tire falling off, much less out the factory. Something doesn't seem right about that claim. Also the Camaro is not immune to quality issues. There are a bunch of threads on this forum with all kinds of common issues. Sad part is you will get flamed if you ask about any of them. |

http://www.newsday.com/classifieds/c...eels-1.1562480 You may get flamed, but at least you don't get banned for asking like I've seen happen on Challenger sites. |

I just asked for ONE test that showed the SRT being faster, and one independant party saying Chrysler has better build quality than GM. How is that a pissing match? It's you being asked to back up your claims, and it's you refusing to do so. Just like the old saying goes, your silence speaks volumes. |

I didn't mean you made it up. It is just hard for me to believe that a car could ride around that long without a spindle nut. |

Arrrrgghh
Oh geez, not this again. You are a Dodge fanboy, but you have to face reality.
I'm a fanboy and no, I don't have to face reality, I can face any which way I want. I'm facing South at the moment. The Camaro SS is faster than the SRT. Period. Every independant test agrees on this. I did an independent test and found my RT was faster than a speeding bullet, stronger than a locomotive and can leap tall mountains in a single bound. My Challenger has every issue/recall you listed (never got it fixed), is disassembled with four flat tires and it will still beat an SS if shot out of a cannon. And don't take my word on quality, pick ANY independant party and see where GM and Chrysler rank on quality. Good luck finding even one that has Chrysler ranked higher....[/QUOTE] I will take your word on quality, along with every muscle mag ever written (see attached article). After seconds of searching, I did find an independent party, at my neighbor's house. He's got beer, women and good music. And some independent drunk chick said she liked my Challenger WAAAYYYY more than the Camaro parked next to it (it was actually a Silverado but who cares). I think she was high too, so, CHRYSLER WINS!!!!!
