Rex- exactly- Seems I have offended a lot of vendors. Certainly was not the intent.

I have been in the Harley Davidson world for 33 years, and it's a pleasure when someone turns me on to a great deal.

So, in all honesty, for a weekend warrior like me, would you say that these handhelds are worth the money when compared to the laptop based systems (HP, EFI) ??

Not without a custom tune.

You would install the predator, read and send me the original back up and last tune written and I will turn it off for you.

It depends on how deep you need to go with tuning and how much of it you want to get into yourself.

HP Tuners and EFI Live was and is suppose to be for Professional tuners, because it is overwelming when you open a file and try to decide where to start.

Diablo has narrowed down the Important Stuff and has done a good job providing decent base tunes to work from for the masses, then you can make what we call Global or RPM Window (0-2000, 2-4000, 4-6000) based fuel and timing changes along with a host of other goodies, on your own if needed.

It also allows us as Professional CMR tuners a way to ship our Custom Tunes all over the world, or tweak and existing tune file that is already in the car, via email.

I've been following a thread on the Diablo forum about this issue. I have the A6 and have not done any exhaust work yet and so far haven't heard any decel popping. I do how ever get a pop at startup from time to time. Any way, what exactly is causing the decel popping?

I could not agree more. I ordered one from Ted after he answered a bunch of questions for me,sure I could have saved 40 bucks getting it from someone else but when I do my next mods Cai,shorty headers,cam and one of Ted's email tunes I am going to lean on Ted's knowledge for what he thinks will be the best for my over all package....That knowledge is worth a shit load more then 40 bucks.Thanks Ted

You can also go to the diablo sport forum for questions and help. They have pretty good customer support over there. As Ted mentioned I like the predator because it will be easy for me to update my tunes compared to driving to the tuner and paying more to re-tune. I can also flash back to stock before I go in for dealer service.

Will the dealer know that I tuned it ? Even if I flash it back to the stock tune?

I guess you would have to give them a reason to look like Blown Rear or Transmission.

If you bring it in tuned it is very easy for them to tell by checking the CVN number because it won't match they're CVN number.

There is software to check to see if the computer has been reflashed but it is harder to check.
