This is simply not true of everyone.

I voted Zl1. Great looking car with suspension and power. And supercharged.

Based just on those criteria, the answer is the 2018 1LE... and it's not even close.

IMO they should have one long thread like the one what did you do to your car today for I'm thinking about getting a Corvette or Mustang or ZL1 or 6th or mod my car. There is that section "vs" but there are a few threads every week same old stuff.
The OP never states in the first post what aspects are most important to base the decision on. It is almost like trolling. If I were a mod I'd merge them all into one thread.

Why's that? All 3 cars should accomplish those 3 things I'm looking for. It's just which one accomplish them best vs the ones that add other pros to the equation. The Vette adds the best looks imo and also a targa top. The ZL1 adds a ton of power. Why is the 1LE the obvious choice?

Also I’d factor in the huge depreciation hit you’ll eat on a 2018

I did read he drove a 1Le but its still the better of the 3 , i wouldn't spend the money on the ZL1 or Grand Sport, i just don't think they are worth it .I would take a Gen 5 1LE over those two. I guess people just get different things out of cars when they drive them .

I agree only because I don't like used cars.

He should of taken the deal on the 1LE, it was good. They offered him $20k for his 2010 trade. That would of been a good down payment, only leaving around $25k to finance on a new 2018 with full warranty. He would of also not paid sales tax on the money from the trade in saving himself another $1200. Financed over 5 years @ 1.99 would of had a monthly of only around $350 for a new 1LE.

The way I look at it the 2010 is money already spent, so dump the car and move on. Drive a new car for $25k, and one that will out perform the others on the list hands down and that's what you buy theses cars for.

How is the Grand Sport and ZL1 not worth it? I can buy them for less and both have every bit of the performance from everything I've seen and the ZL1 will crush the 1LE in a straight line on top of it. Plus like has been mentioned just a few posts ago the new car will depreciate the most especially over the first couple years of ownership.

I have a 13 GS MZ6 convertible and the wife has a 15 2SS RS convertible. They are both great cars but there is no comparison between the two. It's the GS hands down. I bought mine new in 2013 and have 43,000 miles on it now. I can't keep my a** out of the seat.

It's simple , a new 1Le is a better value. You may be able to pay less but you are also getting less . Remember you are buying used and i highly recommend you buy a warranty if you do buy used . The ZL1 may be faster in a .25 mile but it won't crush it ,everything in that Zl1 is old tech compared to a new 1LE . And going from what you are looking for, weekend ,road trips and car meets plus wanting a manual the 1LE is perfect .After all only one of those cars come in manual only which shows how serious it is about being driven.
