How is that bare aluminum treating you? Is it hard to clean?

Can't really say how it is going to be for sure, still getting the initial brake-dust from breaking in the pads and it has been a mess around here in Central Jersey of late and out in Eastern PA where I work so I am mucked up with some road salt and other much from the wet conditions. I didn't get a chance to hit them with Rejex Was like Chip at CCW recommended when the first came in because the bottle didn't show up until just a day or so ago.

Have had some more time with the wheels with some crappy weather and they are holding up pretty good, initially they looked like they were gonna be a PITA but I went through the routine of polishing them with Mothers Billet Polish and then hitting them with Rejex, let the Rejex sit overnight to cure and then wiped off in the morning. Now the wheels are pretty easy to maintain and I have hit them once a week the past couple of weeks with quick detailer and microfiber towel and they cleaned up real nice. I'll see how they hold up and will probably hit them with a coat of Rejex whenever I wax the car and hopefully only have to polish them once a year..... hopefully, time will tell.

Hey, do you have any close up pics of your ventureshield around the rear gill area?

I want to do my rockers and gill areas like you did, and try doing it myself.

Did you buy a pre-cut kit, or cut it yourself?

Would you pick that brand again or 3M?

Thanks.

I'll try to get a closeup of the gill area tonight and post back. I got the pre-cut kits from www.clearmask.com, the rocker kit is a little pricey compared to the other kits but worth it in my opinion, the rocker install was pretty easy even for a noob, I even did it with the car on the ground even though on a lift with the rockers at eye level makes it easier. The rocker piece is VERY long so the key is to get it to tack onto the rocker at one end (hitting it with a little alcohol solution to get it to slightly tack on with VERY light pressure) and then roll it out along the rest of the rocker tacking it every 12 inches or so until it is roughly inplace across the whole rocker and then you can work to line it up correctly.

ClearMask offers AeroGard and their film called ClearMask AR (which I understand is just VentureShield which is owned by 3M) I used the Clearmask AR film and am very happy with it but have never used anything else so I cannot compare.
