I originally wanted to put the old script "Camaro" emblems on the side of my car too, ever since I saw that pic of the red Revolution SS with the old school vette rims (big chrome hubcap type). There's one of two ways I feel I can go with my car.

1. Old School! This means the SLP front and rear "SS" emblems and the script "Camaro" on the fenders. I was thinking maybe doing the script emblems in flat black.

2. New School! This means new style red "SS" emblems on front and rear with the current "CAMARO" lettering on the fenders, but in flat black.

...still undecided though

That would be hot.
I hope to get the new style front and rear SS on my car soon. Currently I need to remove the rear bowtie and get a local graphic shop to black out my trunk. I have a new style SS ready to be place on the trunk when the vinyl goes on. I'm going to purchase a new style front SS from C5 member Allshow. Its machined to fit in the stock grill perfectly. I'm undecided about what to do with my camaro letters on the sides. I'd like to remove them and paint them black but making straight lines is not one of my strong points, so putting them back on is going to be fun.

Ha ha! They're actually silver ice metallic stripes. I get that a lot though when I post pics of my car on here. In person, they look distinctly silver. But in photographs people always think they are white.

I agree with you though, CGM and white stripes would look pretty awesome as well.

I love the look with the SLP emblems. It looks fantastic. I can't wait to do the trunklid.

Looking into replacing my rear bowtie with the cross flags. Anyone know if they will cover up the alignment holes??

For some reason I just don't feel it's right to put the Old School V8 emblem on a V6...[/QUOTE]

..ditto. someone needs to create a 'modern' SS or RS logo that is a better representative of this new generation.

I agree the old school V8 Flags do not belong on a V6... I made teh one up in my Sig for someone to look at.. There are not ANY of those on my car...

On a strange side note.. before I put my 312 HP decals on our Camaro, I was getting one "Challenge" from Either ricers or Mustang drivers (only in GT's)about every other day. since I have put them on I have not gotten one challenge. Coincidence?

SLP "SS" emblems are sweet. The way an SS should look. Bowties are for 6 cylinders.

Here's my option on the SLP landing pad. If anyone wants the front and rear SS's that come with it, let me know. I'm already changed one pair to red and can change the other if you like before I ship. I'll take what SLP is asking for them plus a little for shipping.

More pics in my album and the thread I posted in the cosmetics section.

I popped the "rally sport" emblems on the hood and have received several compliments so far.

the center SS looks so awesome, GM should have made this change on the 2011 SS's.
