GAS? how many miles per gallon do you get on your camaro? Preferably from the 2SS??

first full tank was 15.8 mpg hand calculated. That was about 90% city driving and pretty spirited acceleration.

I've also seen sustained 25mpg at 65 mph cruise control

i get 20.5 MPG when i drive normal, and 19 MPG when i gag it, 2SS. I have not been to the strip with it yet, still in the below 1500 Mile range.

I just broke the 900 mile barrier today on my 2SS. I'm getting around 18-19 mpg with a mixture of city and fwy driving. Mine's not an everyday driver so I fill up every 7-10 days.

14 -18 SS/RS M6 I drive completely un economical,so I feel lucky to get that lol

2SS/M6 - DIC says 18 mpg. Mostly city driving and I have a heavy foot. Never have reset the mpg checker and I have 2200 miles. Seems to get a bit better with time.

My oil changes go for $75 with the upgrade Mobil 1 and 8 quarts of it...I also order a premium upgrade oil filter each time I go. Since the car requires 8 qts. and standard o.c are 5 qts., there is an add'l charge.....

All in all, around $75, depending on the cost of the Mobil 1 when they order it especially for me.

I don't mind the money, my baby's worth it.

I average 19.5 mpg or so overall. When I take a 3-hr trip or so, mostly highway, I get up to 24.5 mpg. To do that, I have to keep the speed below 70 mph, on cruise control. Once I get over 70 mph, the gas mileage drops off a bit. On same trip (returning), cruising at 75 mph, I got 23.7 mpg.

Now, a few people have touched on this, but I think it's important. You really need to reset the average mileage and average speed pages on the DIC every time you fuel up, if you want to have meaningful readings.

I love this car...who'd a thunk we could get reasonable (even, dare I say it?..."good" gas mileage) in a 400+ hp beast? Win-win for us...thank you GM!

I don't know why I notice that so much about all the 1SS 2SS nonsense when we're talking about stuff like fuel economy. Same engines folks!

Now then....mostly city driven, about 16.2 on my A6 equipped, lighter, more efficient, and just ever so slightly faster 1SS.
