well, im probably going to catch hell, but i did the exact sam thing. i went from lifted 4 door silverado to camaro to o9 rt challenger back to 2010 camaro 2ss.
i loved the rt challenger. i had a bord out throttle body, a cai and exhaust and the car was no sloutch.but ive all way s all ways ben a camaro fan.(owned 7).both cars look great both to me drive smooth but i will tell the camaro is much quicker(of course it has mods on it now, so its even quicker).both have that muscle stance and both have that 69 erra look.ultimately i went back to the camaro because it had the 1969 look(wich ive always love the first gen look) and o course the vette engine. i dont think you could go wrong with either.if you liked the camaro enough to look at it again to purchase, you might better stay with your first choice, pay that off then go find you a used srt8 challenger and have both.i think you want the srt8 challenger because you havent had one in your drive yet. haveing something is not as a great feeling as wanting something you cant get!. be patiant and have both over time. thats what im doine!

If I was a modder like you.. I would worry about making my money back on teh Dodge, since it starts out expensive. That being said, I have a soft spot for Challengers! I like both cars, camaro just a skootch more!

Right now you'll get 2k worth of Mopar accessories for the challenger if you buy one. That could save you some $$ when you go to mod it.

The SRT8 Challenger looks very nice, but the interior is the same as ALL

their other ghetto cars, Magnum, Charger, Challenger. Good Luck choosing.

Hey, I love the Chally, I did not love the extra bucks for the SRT-8 but was willing to pay it. There were two forces that acted on me that resulted in having a Camaro in my garage rather than the Chally. One was my wife, she voted Camaro and two I went and talked to the service manager at my dealer (which is a Chevy and Dodge dealer), I have trusted his opinion for many years and he convinced me I would be happier with the performance in the Camaro. Anywho, So what if the interior is dull or boring...it's not like it can't be altered. Seems several people use that as their only excuse. lame. Both cars appeal to people for different reasons. I wanted a camaro at first but then went with the Challenger. I'm not a dodge, ford or chevy guy. I'm a car lover and can appreciate a nice car when I see one. For every 5 mature, open minded responses in these types of threads, there is always 1 or 2 fanboys with their panties in a knot. Can't we all just get along

To the OP, your money to spend, buy what you like.
