I had this same problem two weeks ago. Worked fine today at the track though.

Might have to do on the asphalt your trying to burn them out on. Try in a parking lot or something.

Negative. It spins with the brake down all the way.

So I tried this today on my L99 and it did not break the tires loose. I hit the Traction Control button once (no hold down etc) so the yellow icon shows up on the dash. I stopped fully, went to Sport mode then floored it. The car just rocketed off the line but no wheel spin.

I do use premium fuel and have done the fuse pull before but did not notice any change from doing it. I havent tried it again recently.

It might just be that it is so hot right now that the tires grip more and the IATs are up which makes the ECM pull timing which mean less HP to the wheels. Try it at night when it is cooler.

It was only about 80 F when I tried it. That shouldnt be anywhere near 'hot'. My tires where well warmed up though since I had been driving about 20 minutes or so. Either way, that much HP should break em loose IMO.

I have noticed that the stability control can kill a burnout because it senses the rear end moving sideways and either applies brakes to correct or backs off throttle or both. I think you really need to hold the T/C button down for a full 7 seconds and see both lights on the dash light up to be sure you are not going to get any nanny interference.

I'll give that a shot later and see.

4th'd. No burnout from mine either. I hit the gas, the Flowmaster American Thunder screams "Hold on" and away I go. No smoking tires though.

I've seen people do it with the Traction off and the Stability on and the wheels spin a little when they get on it. They spin for maybe 1/2 second and as soon as the back end starts sliding sideways and car just starts biting and takes off forward with no spin.

I don't want to screw up my tires, so I haven't tested it in mine.

if you still can't burn out keep trying it. When I first got my car it didn't scratch the tires much at hard take off but after a while (few hundred miles) it easily broke the tires lose, not sure why it changed. Try some 0-60MPH runs, what times are you getting ?
