Nice way to reinforce the gun-grabbers belief that carry laws lead to blood in the streets AND give them ammunition to call for draconian gun laws everywhere else.....thanks.

I see it but others have to go all up to it and get all close and say.."I don't see anything".. Hell i can see it from my kitchen window!!! LOL

Not to thread-jack, but it is possible he was talking the perceived social etiquette changes that occur within a society that is largely armed. e.g. Robberies are much less likely to occur when the thief knows that the victim has a high chance of being armed. By and large those people who commit crimes, are cowards and despite their tough talk do not want to stare down the barrel of a .45, they would rather find a weaker victim.

Having said that, pulling a gun on someone for keying your car has to be among the worst ideas ever. Clearly someone who really feels this way (and is not just saying it for dramatic effect or hyperbole as i suspect EMB135Driver was ) neither has a CW permit or a grasp on the responsibilities it entails.

1st paragraph......possibly. That's not the way it came across to me though.

2nd paragraph......I agree with you 100%.

You could leave it as a battle scar.

I mean honestly, everyone knows you didn't have a seizure while trying to open your door. So, logically, everyone is just going to think "wow, what asshole did this? what a nice car."

If anything, when someone keys your car, they're just making it more obvious to people that it is a nice car.

no, i wouldnt have pulled a gun on the guy, however i would have kicked the Sh** out of him...

regardless the luck continues,lol... i took it to the shop, and total is about 3000.00 in damage. ins is paying out, my deductable sucks, but having my car like that sucks more.

ohhh and as i was just starting to feel better about this, i see the car today and between yesterday and this eve (and i suspect at the paint shop ironically, cause thats the only place anyone was near it) someone door dinged the pass side badly...yeah, thats also the side thats NOT being repaired... ugh... and its right on the crease along the door of course...

i REALLY am having a hard time owning this car. i am so damn anal about it, its KILLIN me that this is happening. this has NEVER happened in my trucks.

you don't know anal. I work with a guy who has owned 2 NEW vehicles in his life. Both times he took them on a road trip and returned with rock chips....so he traded em. Now he runs older vehicles and STILL is way more anal about them than anyone on here is about their Camaro. He lives on a gravel road and drives 20mph for the 1.5miles to his house....even in old beater vehicles. He rebuilt an older dodge pickup....like a mid to late 70's. Had it better than the day it rolled off the production line. We're talking every body piece was individually painted, inside and out...all bolts were stainless. brand new BUILT engine...I mean this thing was AWESOME. It just sat in the garage because he didn't want anything to happen to it...then he ended up selling it to a guy from Texas, told him he never wanted to see it again, and built a new shop.

So next time you think ur anal, just remember that story.

Some cars you purchase are just not as lucky as others are...When we got our Toyota two weeks after someone rear ended it and then a year later someone in a sams club parking lot ran a metal cart into the passenger door leaving the world’s biggest dent. The year after that I ran it into our garage door (learning to drive only 15 at the time) then that same year my uncle borrowed it and scrapped the whole passenger side against the guard rail on the entrance ramp on the freeway. Then the year after that the night of Halloween some idiot ran a red light ripping the whole front off. Then back in 2009 someone at church put three dents on the driver’s side I’m guessing when they were reversing...O and a couple months ago someone reversed into it at a parking garage in downtown...yet we still have the car and it runs great except for all the body damage its gone through...

Nice...if he were to do that he'd be no better a person than the lout that scratched his car. Good grief....now we know why everyone's insurance rates continually increase. Integrity and honesty are quickly becoming scarce values. :-(
