If what the snake is saying is true... well there you go! You have a few options...

A. get the 3.73s... avoid the 4.10s in the V6
-or-
B. find someone willing to sell you there OEM 3.45s out of and LS3. 3.27 to 3.45 would be a nice bump... going to 3.73 from 3.27 would be awesome... about the same as going to 4.10s in the SS!

Only problem with resetting a set of gears that were set up in another car already is they are nearly impossible to set 100% quiet b/c the wear pattern is already there. I had to go back to MY 3.45s and they got them set perfect but putting someone elses in your car, you may have a tad of noise.

OK... so since you didn't order/buy yet, make sure you get the M6.

It may be for the auto rear end.

good question... maybe b/c most people wound not consider that big of a jump in the V6.

hey did you tune/dyno your car? What did you put down? Seems you did the full monty to a V6... headers, catback and CAI. Just curious.

That's what GM says, and what it looks like. They decide to give only the m6 v6 a posi rear end, probably to better manage the torque. Jack her up and have a look, even uses the same 30mm and 40mm axles.

Oh I am not doubting you, I jsut dont know. The only experience I really have with the V6 is your car, the rest is greek but I do know how to get the centering springs out of the shifter and change the brakes to Brembos!

LOL I guess so. When I was young i stole a candy bar. I was probably 6... i told my mom I stole it so she marched me right back in the store and made me return it to the cashier and appologize! Never stole anything again. Funny how we learn from things liek that.

I haven't done a dyno since my full setup. I still need to get the tune. I am going to a dyno meet sept 11 in Cali. Hopefully I can get the tune by then.

I have ARH longtubes, hiflow cats, Flowmaster Super 44s, Injen CAI and I'm tuned, and I'm not at 300rwhp. Bolt ons, in an automatic car, will not get you to 300. In a manual car, those add ons just might. With the bolt ons I have, I've gained about 34rwhp and 30lb-ft of torque since my initial base line.

Now add ported/polished heads, intake and throttle body, I think 300rwhp is possible in an auto car, and still be N/A. With a manual car, I think all that should put someone around 325-330rwhp, on a good day.

BTW, I'm at ~280rwhp and ~250lb-ft of torque as of my last dyno. The INJEN didn't add 14rwhp to my car, although it did add some. Maybe on a bone stock car one will see the gains posted by Jannetty. That could be the biggest difference.
